Noel Veloz’s Hemincuff creates waves with slow fashion and sustainability as a vegan brand in New York

With strong visions and pristine ideas in vegan fashion, the young fashionpreneur has been changing the game in the industry.

The way a few industries have grown over the years is proof enough of how well professionals and entrepreneurs adopted technological advancements, but most importantly, it also proves how well they worked around unconventional ideas with resilience and hard work to turn their visions into reality and take their respective industry to exponential levels of growth. The fashion niche includes many such innovators and disruptors, and one among them is Noel Veloz, who has been carrying forward a legacy in the form of vegan fashion and accessories brand named “Hemincuff.”

The start of his fashion journey.

Noel Veloz confesses how since his growing up years, he felt a close inclination towards everything bags and fashion; however, he gives major credit to his father, an immigrant from the Dominica Republic, who was a skilled craftsman. He fell in love watching him create stuff like top handle purses, clutches, cardholders, backpacks, and tailor clothing, from his sewing machine and realized his true purpose in life which was to hone his skills in the same and create a revamp dream of a previous dream cut short too fast in the form of Hemincuff.

The challenges.

Before diving deep into the world of fashion and accessories, Noel Veloz even tried his hand first at tutoring, physical therapy, and being a librarian; however, taking Hemincuff to newer heights of success was what he was made for. Although the journey for him was no cakewalk, he still paved his own path to success, starting with working in retail and interning in fashion. For two years, he would take long walks alone on the streets to study every fashion boutique store window, which taught him visual merchandising, branding, quality, and storytelling. Not just that, he would also watch documentaries of designers and luxury bags on YouTube.

What is Hemincuff all about?

Hemincuff, unlike many current fashion brands, is no fast fashion; in fact, Noel Veloz has created keeping in mind sustainability and slow fashion, which is their priority. It is an all-vegan accessories brand based in New York and designed for fashion-forward, modern risk-takers. The minimalism and clean designs with expressive style have caught everyone’s attention, giving them a classy and elegant look. Carrying on the revamped dream, Hemincuff oozes classic style and timelessness.

Importance of being a vegan and sustainable brand.

Noel Veloz mentions how he saw major luxury brands thriving on animal skin to produce their products. He always wanted to create a brand that could never torture animals, and hence, to lead by example, he created Hemincuff as a vegan brand, using durable materials that can make the product last while also giving back to society by donating to onetreeplanted.org for every bag they sell.

In the future, Noel Veloz aims to create his entire line through made-to-order with also providing a video of the bag making to every client. Noel Veloz furthermore seeks to create the best luggage trunks, combining luxury and sustainability.
