Purchase With a Purpose: How Purpose Front Are Proving T-shirts Are More Than Just A Piece Of Fabric
Anyone with a rational mind and empathy seeks to make a constructive contribution to society. A little positivity goes a long way, and what better way to share it than through an ordinary medium?
Manufacturing t-shirts with imprinted slogans that inspire or ignite a constructive movement can add a lot of value to the day to day lives of individuals, making it a worthwhile investment as a business to share your values. Visual cues substantially impact people; we pay more attention to what we see than what we hear.
Using t-shirts to influence society
Many purchases mean nothing. But company, Purpose Front, set to launch in January 2023 is set out to change this. The company partners directly with causes people care about so that they know their purchase go towards something that matters. The team emphasizes that “it’s not just a t-shirt.”
In an exclusive interview with Isaiah Smith, of Purpose Front, he states, “Most purchases that we make into our day to day lives don’t matter. They don’t have impact. Lots of companies actually have charity programs but after checkout it becomes a black box and you are uninvited from the party. Purpose Front partners directly with charities, non-profits, and purpose-first businesses so that you can know your purchase is part of something with impact. We are a fund-raising platform for building the world that you want to see. Plus, our threads are pretty cool.”
Using t-shirts to pitch core values
Not many people are doing what Purpose Front are doing, which is offering an e-commerce strategy that lets partners raise funds for their world-changing work. Isaiah says, “This means two things: 1. It is a risky business because we’re trusting that people care about their purchases. It’s a leap of faith we’re willing to take. Humanity has a good side and a bad side and we decided investing in the good side is worth the risk. And 2. Personally, leaving a six-figure executive position to bootstrap a business wasn’t easy, but trading 6-figures for 1-purpose was worth it.”
Isaiah Smith believes that everyone wants positive change, but it can only begin with us. Furthermore, there is a never ending stream of new t-shirts for purchase entering the market all the time. He predicts that with so many options, competition will increase. Marketers won’t just have to pitch their cheeky design but will instead have to pitch their values, and wearing your heart on your sleeve will become more popular.
If you advocate for change as a business and are looking for a new way to do so, having a t-shirts manufactured to promote what you support will elicit a good response from your audience as well as attract new types of clientele.
