Quadd21 Exclusive Interview With Disrupt Magazine

As a part of our interview series with the rising stars in pop culture, I had the pleasure of interviewing “Quadd21”

Rakheem Benjamin, better known as Quadd21 is an R&B singer from Pahokee, FL. Quadd21 is 23 years old. His musical career started at the age of nine, in a small town called Pahokee, FL known as Muck CITY, although music has always been a part of my life, he have been singing in the choir, and grandmother “Viola Davis” song with B.B.KING, back in the old days, but He never realized his true talent until when Raheem and two other friends song at our 5th-grade graduation.                        Thank you so much for joining us! Can you tell us a story about what brought you to this specific career path?

Quadd21: My musical career all started when I sang at my 5th grade graduation just the response from the crowd. It made me realize to tap into my calling way more & make this a career for sure. Ever since that day I’ve stuck with music.

Can you share the most interesting story that happened to you since you started this career?

Quadd21: Don’t really have an interesting story but I would say I’m grateful for everything that’s happening in my career right now.

Can you share a story about the funniest mistake you made when you were first starting? Can you tell us what lesson you learned from that?

Quadd21: The mistake a made when I first started out I was performing on stage out in NEW YORK and I dropped my mic. Somehow it fell out my hand and hit a fan in the face Lol it immediately stop the show to go hug her. But I’ve learned to grip the mic a little harder lol and just perform.

What are some of the most interesting or exciting projects you are working on now?

Quadd21: I just released a project called ‘’Leo Talk ‘’. Which was scheduled to be released August 1st but  things happen So it didn’t go as planned but I end up releasing it  Oct 12  which is out right now on all streaming platforms . Right now I’m currently working on a single. I’m partnering with Djmillymill609 on it. We go heat coming so stay tune people

Who are some of the most interesting people you have interacted with?

What was that like? Do you have any stories?

Quadd21: Well so far I haven’t linked with any bigger names than myself yet but soon you’ll see stay tuned  I’m still working just getting started but I’m seasoned.

Which tips would you recommend to your colleagues in your industry to help them to thrive and not “burn out”?

Quadd21: I would say keep going don’t give up. Don’t take anything personal it’s all love. Don’t let one No stop you from your dreams just keep going

Here’s my famous quote.  ‘’Don’t let you down‘’

You have been blessed with success in a career path that can be challenging. Do you have any words of advice for others who may want to embark on this career path, but seem daunted by the prospect of failure?

Quadd21: When I first started out I felt like it wasn’t going to happen, nobody was going to like my sound. Or accept my image & once I realized that I’ve became my worst critic and people thought good about me I’ve realized I have what it take to make it in the business So what I would say  is just keep going in-spite of all the challenges you will face. It will mold you. Into the real you. What’s a roller coaster without loops and drops it’s no fun right?  So to flip it.  You have to go through something to get through something and to tell your testimony keep your head get lost in the grind. Bout time you look up the world would know your name.

Can you share with our readers any self-care routines, practices or treatments that you do to help your body, mind or heart to thrive? Kindly share a story or an example for each.

Quadd21: All I do it manifest, and meditate & work out

Keep my sanity protected at all times it’s not that easy, but it’s mental.

What are your “5 things I wish someone told me when I first started” and why. Please share a story or example for each.

Quadd21:

  1. Be Patient / you just don’t want to rush into the wrong thing you’ll suffer consequences right away
  2. To Have self-control / learn challenge your spirit it if it’s wrong don’t do it
  3. Be open minded to different things / sticking with one thing would only get you but so far expand your horizon.  You’ll meet new people if you get stuck in that expiring habit
  4. Always be professional / you have one time to impress first impression is everything stay intact
  5. Never limit yourself / it’s so much we can do in this world but fear comes about so once you learn to get rid of fear. You will conquer the world remember that anything of fear is the devil.

Can you please give us your favorite “Life Lesson Quote”? Can you share how that was relevant to you in your life?

Quadd21: My favorite quote is

‘’ Don’t Let you Down ‘’  which means  your all you got make sure your good before anyone be healthy. Stay intact

None of us are able to achieve success without some help along the way. Is there a particular person who you are grateful towards who helped get you to where you are? Can you share a story about that?

Quadd21:  tbh I’ve been doing this for a while there were a select hand few of People that help stir my gift up but I would say my mom & dad. Just basically giving me permission to go out on the road at a young age to explore the music life early Sony think them & also GOD. The man up above without him I wouldn’t even be typing this so god kept me intact along the way

You are a person of enormous influence. If you could start a movement that would bring the most amount of good to the most amount of people, what would that be? You never know what your idea can trigger. 🙂

Quadd21: well I love giving back & speaking of giving back I & my DJ and a few other friends are putting together a giveaway for the homeless. Especially in these tough times, it’s cold out & it’s the holidays.  & we are going to go out in the streets give away free clothes & shoes. & also feed them. You know I’ve always been positive to its only right to spread the joy I’m these Needy times

We are very blessed that some of the biggest names in Business, VC funding, Sports, and Entertainment read this column. Is there a person in the world, or in the US whom you would love to have a private breakfast or lunch with, and why? He or she might see this. 🙂

Quadd21: I would like have a private Lunch with Chris brown

You know dude is just a talented R&B leader / Legend of this generation. You know just one of the best to ever do it. So just to be around that energy. Would be lovely no matter what. Like No phones. No cameras nothing just straight conversation. Learning the game from him would be a good blessing & a great opportunity because I am a upcoming R&B artist in the game right now myself. So just to sit there and listen to what bro has to say would be dope he’s been my age before.  So he really could tell me the INS & out on this industry. So Chris if you reading my guy tap in let’s Chop it up big bro
