Realtor Brian Feeney Shares What It’s Like To Be in the Real Estate Business for Over 30 Years

This article takes a sneak peek into the life of realtor Brian Feeney to show what it’s like to be in the real estate industry for more than three decades. Be sure to read it until the end.

Realtor Brian Feeney is currently 55 years young and has been happily married for 31 years. Additionally, he has three daughters and eleven grandchildren, one of which (daughter & granddaughter) lives with him.

Brian shared, “I love working in the community with the Church, doing mission work (preaching the Gospel). I have a small bible study group of young people, helping them get their lives turned around! Moreover, I am an actor and have been in a few episodic TV shows throughout my life. In addition, I have been in the Real Estate business for over 34 years as a sales representative, helping people find their dream homes. Also, I love traveling to new places whenever possible.”

He mainly serves the Toronto and Greater Toronto Area. “This market is one the fastest moving in the Country. One of the great features of the GTA is that you have so many diverse options of where you can live. Each city location caters to the different needs of each person.  With the amount of diversity we have, you have so many options to choose from. Transit and communities abound everywhere!  It is truly a buffet of beauty,” Brian said in an interview.

He deals primarily in Residential real estate, helping both Buyers and Sellers attain their goals. Brian said, “Having been in the industry for so long, I can help people with a little more experience than most. It is vital that whenever you are buying or selling, the person who is representing you should have as much experience as possible to arrive at the conclusion of your personal journey.”

When asked about the real estate market right now, he responded, “The market is nothing like I have ever seen. Buying a home is the most challenging thing right now, BUT not impossible. But, again, you need a wise and experienced realtor to help you, and this market is very unforgiving for individuals who make mistakes.”

Brian shares some pieces of advice for future home buyers; he said, “Don’t assume that everyone understands you! Interview at least three agents before making a decision. A world-class agent’s value can only be seen when held up against an average agent’s value.   Again this market is very unforgiving. It is not about the sale; instead, it’s about the journey. There are so many tips that are available to help someone get a home.  But, if your agent doesn’t have any, it could be a long wait!”

Even after more than 30 years in the business, Brian still hungers for that unexplainable feeling of selling a house and fulfilling a couple’s dreams. It takes him back to when he was 19 years old, when he first began his career.
