Realtor Kayla Petrasek Opens Up About Her Journey Into Entering the Real Estate Business

Kayla Petrasek is a real estate agent whose current service area is based in North and West Vancouver. She was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, and recently moved to East Vancouver to live with her boyfriend and her 11-year-old son. She loves the outdoors, doing some outdoor activities and learning new hobbies such as djing and Latin dancing.

Kayla shares her journey on how she went from Hilton Toronto’s sales agent to a real estate agent in Vancouver. Here’s what she said, “I started my career when I was 21 years old in Hospitality Management. I earned my place directly in the Hilton Toronto’s sales department from my school placement in their Human Resources department. I was the youngest person ever to be hired within their sales team, and it was a huge achievement as I was also a single mother to my 1-year-old son. After a few years, I challenged myself to get a degree in Health Sciences, aspiring to get into medical school.

I later decided to go into the Pharmaceutical Sales business as I am passionate about helping people and drawn to a fast-paced sales environment. Years later, I moved to Vancouver and made a big move into the Real Estate field, excited to build relationships and help people with a huge step in their lives. I couldn’t be happier to be helping my clients create beautiful futures with the right home.”

When asked about why Vancouver is a great place to live for people who love the outdoors, she responded, “I serve North Vancouver and West Vancouver. This place is close to many beautiful trails and parks, and it’s close to the water, which is perfect for water sports-loving individuals. It’s mostly a family-oriented place with lots of restaurants and shops to choose from.”

Even though Kayla is just starting her real estate journey, she has some advice for potential customers. She said, “Come prepared with a mortgage pre-approval. As it a very hot market and things are moving fast.”

Being a single parent is hard enough but being a single parent in the real estate industry is truly remarkable. It’s incredible how Kayla was able to achieve this feat all on her own. Her drive to help people create beautiful futures with their families makes her different from everybody else.
