Realtor Mamie Lambert Shares Why the Calgary Region Is the “Best Place To Raise a Family”

Mamie Lambert is a real estate agent at one of Canada’s leading real estate companies, CIR Realty. She recently received her 15-year service award from the Calgary Real Estate Board, cementing her incredible reputation in the real estate industry.

Mamie is married and has two adult children who just finished their studies and are presently living in different areas for employment. She also has two adorable dogs who are both females; one was a rescue while the other was with the family since she was a puppy.

She serves Calgary, Airdrie, and all surrounding communities. Mamie said, “The Calgary region is the hub of an international airport and is filled with people from all walks of life. It is a wonderful place to raise a family with access to mountains, lakes, and the badlands. You can enjoy all seasons here with boating, hiking, fishing, skiing, golfing, and many other outdoor activities. There are many areas to chose to live in. Whether you love the hustle and bustle of downtown, the suburbs, or enjoy acreage living, I can find you what you are looking for.”

Mamie continued, “Taking care of my clients in the sale of their homes and purchasing a home is my top priority. As a military wife, I have moved from one coast of Canada to the other,  and so, I know how important it is that an agent has the ability to anticipate all of your needs in any move. I am originally from Newfoundland and Labrador, where honesty, hard work, and integrity are a way of life. I’m proud to add this great service to the incredible province of Alberta, where I now call home. I thoroughly enjoy meeting new people and maintaining the relationships with families I have helped over the years. Your house is more than a home; it is one of the biggest investments in your life. I strive to ensure your investment is a sound one and that you have a wonderful place to call home. Whether you are selling or buying, I look forward to working for you!”

She works in residential real estate and enjoys listing properties, working with residential resale clients, and accommodating first-time home buyers. Mamie shared, “The market is hot right now! Homes are selling fast as interest rates are at an all-time low. In addition, first-time homebuyers are entering the market, and baby boomers continue to downsize.”

When asked about what advice she should give to first-time home buyers, here’s what she responded, “Some of the recommendations I would give to buyers is that your house is not only a home; it is an investment.  You should always buy with resale value in mind.  I would suggest that sellers keep their homes well maintained at all times. Fix the items that need repair and declutter to make a good impression on potential buyers. Remember, when buyers are shopping for a home, they compare your home to others in your area, so your home must shine for the buyer.”

Mamie continued, “When buying a home, the most important thing you can do is have a pre-approval from your financial institution.  It takes the guesswork out of how much you can afford and prevents any disappointments during a transaction. It’s always good to have a ‘letter’ of pre-approval so that everyone involved in the transaction is confident they are proceeding toward a positive outcome.”
