Realtor Vicky Alb Reveals Her 3 Key Advice for First-Time Homebuyers

Vicky Alb is a real estate agent at Kelly Williams Realty, one of Canada’s leading real estate agencies. Vicky was introduced to the world of real estate while working as an unlicensed office manager for a top team of 6 agents at Keller Williams. It was an amazing experience and sparked a love of helping clients achieve their real estate goals through exceptional customer service and organization.

From that moment on, she dreamed of becoming a real estate agent and supporting the real estate dreams of others directly. Committed to her client’s success, Vicky strives to be a professional that her clients can put their trust in.

As a lifelong learner, Vicky continually updates her skill to shift as the Real Estate industry is evolving to become more innovative and efficient. Vicky values trust, integrity, and relationships. Her greatest honor is achieving success through a service excellence model and creating a relationship that lasts a lifetime.

Vicky and her husband live in the Dunbar area of Vancouver. She shared, “We both enjoy golfing and skiing as our main physical activities. We also love to travel, hike, and walk the many beaches that are very close by. I belong to a walking group that meets at the Pacific Spirit Park weekly to walk the glorious forested trails. I am also a singer in a band, and we can’t wait to get out and entertain people in a live performance. We have two children who have grown up to be wonderful adults with whom we enjoy spending as much time as possible. Our family dog, Scooter, passed several years ago, and we just have not been able to bring ourselves to replacing the best dog ever! So, for now, we enjoy our friend’s fur babies. If we are not golfing, skiing, working, or traveling, we entertain friends and family at home with good food and conversation.”

She primarily serves the Vancouver area. Vicky explains, “There is no place in Canada like Vancouver, BC. Surrounded by mountains and the ocean, the opportunity for outdoor activities is endless. Located on the west coast gives Vancouver the advantage of having an excellent temperate climate that people can enjoy all year long. Your day in Vancouver could include golf, stand-up paddleboarding, hiking, and skiing all on the same day. Education in the area is second to none. The beautiful coastal campus of UBC is a sight to behold, and the institution is consistently ranked as one of Canada’s top universities. Other education options include Simon Frazer University, British Columbia Institute of Technology, Emily Carr University of Art and Design, and the prestigious Vancouver Film School.

With Vancouver as its commercial hub, British Columbia has one of Canada’s most prosperous economies. Vancouver is home to several industries such as biotechnology, alternative fuels, and software development, just to mention a few. Foreign technology companies are also present in Vancouver including, IBM, Intel, Kodak, Microsoft, and Nokia. As well as having a multitude of employment options, Vancouver is also culturally and ethnically diverse.

The people of Vancouver are friendly, welcoming, and inclusive, creating a vibrant community for all to enjoy. Thanks to the abundance of farms in the Fraser Valley, wineries, breweries, and restaurants that work with award-winning chefs, the province has become a top destination for serious food and dining enthusiasts. There are 200+ wineries in the area, from intimate, family-run vineyards to elegant estate wineries. In addition, a bounty of fresh farm markets and a long growing season give Vancouverites access to fresh, local, and healthy produce almost throughout the year. “So whether you are relaxing on a beach, whale watching in the ocean, taking a glorious ferry ride through the Strait of Georgia, you are sure to have many spectacular experiences in this vibrant, inclusive city.”

Vicky has experience with first-time homebuyers, as well as upsizing and downsizing clients. She has this incredible ability to listen carefully to her clients and determine what is important to them and execute a plan that serves them to the highest of her ability. When asked about the real estate market, here’s what she replied, “There is never a bad time to hire a trusted realtor and consultant. They have the inside knowledge and experience to navigate you through any market successfully. I study the market daily to make sure I can leverage information that can give my clients an edge in achieving a successful negotiation.”

Here is Vicky Alb’s key advice for first-time homebuyers:
