Sara Calixto: 5 Tips to Become a Successful Social Media Influencer

In recent years, social media marketing has amassed popularity, with most businesses considering it a medium that connects them to their potential customers. This has, in turn, led to an increase in the number of social media influencers making the industry more competitive. Sara Calixto, a top social media influencer, shares tips to becoming a successful social media influencer.

Born in Bogota, Colombia, Sara Calixto is an Instagram model, fashion lover, and social media influencer with about two million followers on Instagram. Growing up, Sara was always passionate about modelling and fashion; through persistence and determination, she achieved her dream. She is currently working towards launching a lingerie brand.

Sara has cemented her spot in the industry by starting her career as a fashion model in New York to now being contacted by some of the major brands in the industry.

Now a successful social media influencer, Sara shares how you can become a successful social media influencer too:

  • Identify your audience

Social media has people with different interests, ages, and backgrounds. Sara notes different people will react to content differently. Once you identify your audience, it becomes much easier to foster trust and build long-lasting relationships. This is because they identify with your content and find it appealing.

  • Stay up-to-date with the trends.

Sara stresses the need for staying up-to-date with the trends in the industry. Sara adds this is why, in choosing your niche, it is crucial to choose something you are passionate about. This will not only help you in creating content but also in staying up-to-date with new trends. Following something you have no interest in or no passion for is pretty dull, says Sara

  • Be consistent in your posting

With random posting, you might not get engagement from your audience, says Sara. When you are consistent in your postings, the audience becomes aware of what to expect. This helps them associate and relate to your content more.

  • Network with other influencers

As an influencer, networking with other influencers helps widen your scope. For instance, as a model, Sara collaborates with other influencers in the fashion industry, and she can showcase their clothes on her platform. This is also helpful in promoting awareness as your audience becomes familiar with the other party’s products.

  • Invest in creating an engaging Bio

For most people, the first thing they will look at before making a judgement on whether to buy into your content is your bio. In creating a bio, Sara notes the importance of adding contact details or including other relevant links to help different brands contact you. You should not miss out on any opportunities simply because you left out contact information.

In addition to this, as an Instagram influencer, Sara says writing meaningful and captivating captions will help you spark a conversation with your audience.

All in all, it is essential to note that success takes time to happen. You must be prepared to put in the work, be determined, and be ready to take risks.
