Schoolio and AoE Esports Join Forces to Bring Purposeful Social and Emotional Learning to the World of Competitive Gaming

TORONTO, ONTARIO – (January 12, 2023) – Schoolio is excited to announce a new partnership with AoE E-Sports, a provider of competitive gaming programs for kids and teenagers. As part of the partnership, Schoolio will be providing social-emotional learning resources to AoE E-Sports teams. This partnership will focus on providing education on healthy habits, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership skills, and emotional regulation strategies for the players at AoE E-Sports. With the explosive growth of e-sports, it is essential to provide this education to help players develop into well-rounded individuals. The National Education Association recently described the rise in popularity of e-sports as “explosive growth”, with potential for university scholarships and future earnings skyrocketing across North America. E-sports offer an opportunity for rewards and financial success much like other professional sports, with million-dollar player salaries, prize pools reaching 40 million dollars, and world tournaments that garner global attention. As e-sports continue to grow, it is essential to teach and foster healthy habits, sportsmanship, teamwork, leadership skills, and emotional regulation strategies just with like any traditional team sport.
