Silvia Ulson is a Brazilian Specialized in Creating Private Label Collection Fashion

Silvia Ulson

Silvia Ulson was enchanted by the world of fashion since she was very young. Silvia hails from Brazil and is a fashion designer who attended college in Boston, Massachusetts at MassArt’s fashion school. She was always experimenting with unique styles/arrangements in an attempt to surprise herself with her creativity, but at college, she truly was able to take her talent and skills to a professional level. Silvia fell in love with the process of creation and idealization.

Luckily, from the beginning Silvia’s biggest concern has been to create something timeless, something that was not just fashion but eternal to give people unique pieces with exclusiveness. This compelled her to hone her skills whenever possible and allowed her to always push herself to her limits when creating fashion.

After graduating, Silvia gained the opportunity to work with some known brands in the real fashion industry, but as a Brazilian, her goal was always to bring some Brazilian bikinis designs into the US fashion industry. Since beginning, Silvia has spent 20 years in the fashion industry and accumulated a great amount of skill and knowledge.

For the past three years, she has worked with third parties, and today her main role is to create private label collections for clients, Brazilians, and international customers. Silvia successfully achieved her goal of bringing Brazilian bikini designs to the US fashion industry as well as finding a completely new window of opportunity to follow her passions. Silvia Ulson’s advice to others involved in design work who wish to reach a high level of success is to “Try to be unique and exclusive.”

Silvia personally modeled her career’s success after Coco Chanel, the French fashion designer, founder, and namesake of Chanel the luxury fashion house. Silvia admires the legacy Coco Chanel created in her lifetime as her post-World War I era popularized a sporty, casual chic as the feminine standard of style, replacing the “corseted silhouette” that was dominant beforehand. Silvia aspires to reach this level of skill and recognition on a global level for her work one day.

Since starting, Silvia’s greatest change has been switching from creating solely for Brazilian women to creating private label collections for international brands and stores. So now, she is dedicated 100% to the private labels and to be only backstage watching her clients shine. This is more fulfilling than anything she could have ever imagined and is excited by the thought of continuously making progress and improving her work.
