THE NEXT EX VENTURE NIGHT WILL BE DECEMBER 3RD. FROM LOS ANGELES AND BALI Link
When it comes to building a successful company, there is no way around fundraising for Venture Capital for most entrepreneurs. In Energy Transition, Electric Mobility, Artificial Intelligence, and Agricultural Technology, especially development times are long, and the cost is high.
As a basic rule, the more smart people you need to make your vision a reality, the more expensive it will get. No matter how much sweat equity you are willing to throw in. The market for top engineers is always competitive. Salary expectations will be accordingly. There are many kinds of investors available with the most important to start a business being yourself as the entrepreneur and your family and friends.
SEED ROUND INVESTMENT VALUATION IS ALWAYS TOUGH TO ESTABLISH
There is always a hesitation in asking family friends for money. I get that, but if you have a fantastic business idea, why not let them participate? If you don’t think it will be good for family and friends, it is unlikely that an outside investor will see it differently. I have made all the mistakes in my life, but I have always believed in the cause I was raising money for and was willing to sacrifice to see it come to life. Get your Skin in the Game; investors want to see that. When it comes to a Seed Round, it might be interesting to start talking to specialists investors. They often begin with a few hundred thousand maxima but can support you for a more extended period with their network, capital, and support.

Steven Berkenfeld Investment Legend
BE CAUTIOUS ON WHO YOU BRING ON AS AN EARLY STAGE INVESTOR
I want to give you one word of caution about Seed Round investors. Seed Round investors usually come in at a relatively low valuation to compensate for the super small odds of success. In the rare case that your idea starts taking off, the earlier investors came on board, the harder it will be to get them out at a later stage.
Once you start raising funds, you should have your investor pitch ready and perfected. Still, I am surprised every day coaching Startups and Entrepreneurs, spending years building a product and thinking minutes about communicating what they are making. Many people will be ready to support you, but they need to understand and be inspired first.
IT IS VITAL TO DEVELOP AN INSPIRING INVESTOR PITCH TO RAISE ANY CAPITAL
In our training, we try to distill the essence of your Unique Selling Proposition. Why should we care? Are the Questions? In times of COVID, it has gotten easier to get an introduction to investors. EX Venture is playing a big part in that. It also has called a lot easier to tune out fast and do other things while being on zoom as Steven was sharing while being the Head of Private Equity at Barclays in New York City. He would often invite Entrepreneurs at least for lunch to show respect for coming to NYC.
These days are mostly over now. Being confident, approachable, and well prepared. Most important, having an exiting idea needs to be communicated more evident today than ever before. Check out The Perfect Startup Investor Pitch to Raise Venture Capital Playlist on Youtube. To hear from Steven and Julien Uhlig, The Resilient Entrepreneur, on how it is done.
