Take a Well Deserved Break by Exploring the Outdoors

The average American spends over 13 years of their life working. Even after leaving the office, many people still check emails, finalize reports, or complete small tasks from home. With all of this work, many workers don’t take their vacation time which can lead to increased stress. Many people don’t want to add even more stress by taking the time and energy to plan long trips with flights, hotels, and activities, and so they choose to just not take their paid time off. This is not a good idea! We need time to enjoy ourselves, and an easy way to do that is by exploring the great outdoors.
Exploring the Joys of Camping
One of the easiest ways to experience the relaxation of a vacation without the stress of booking hotels and flights is by camping. There are nearly 14,000 campgrounds in the US that are safe and provide all your camping necessities. Camping is not only easy, but it can be cheap as well! A typical tent camping trip can even be free! With the cost of food and fees to set up camp in a privately owned park, the rate is more realistically about $30 a day, still significantly cheaper than a day at a hotel.
If tent camping isn’t your style, you can consider an RV road trip. This is great for long trips or if families are traveling together. RV’s come in all shapes and sizes so you can be sure to be comfortable no matter what situation you’re in. RV’s also provide a deeper level of privacy for people who don’t feel comfortable being so exposed to nature like in a traditional tent setup.
If both of these options still don’t sound like the right choice for you, you can consider a “glamping” situation. This option combines the comfort of a hotel with the peaceful atmosphere of camping. This is great for first time campers or people who are intimidated by the idea of camping in general. Many cabins that are rented as glamping accommodations are part of resorts that have great amenities such as ziplining, waterslides, or even outdoor performances.
In Conclusion
No matter which option you choose for you, camping is a great way to relax and spend some time outside! Most campsites also include many different activities so you can be sure to have lots to explore during your vacation. It has been proven that spending time outside can be very beneficial for you, so next time it’s time to cash in on that vacation time, consider booking a few days at a beautiful campsite.
