Tell us a little more about how you got into writing!

  • Growing up, I was very shy and timid.

    It was always easier for me to express myself in written words opposed to verbally.

    So, I began journaling and keeping diaries.

    You are truly a jack of all trades; an author, poet, screenwriter, & actress! What does your creative process look like when it comes to your screenwriting or poetry?

    Usually, I am listening to music, rereading one of my favorite books or simply watching a tv show.

    All of which kind of help to get my creative juices flowing.

    What would you say to any aspiring authors or that look up to your work?

    Find the purpose in your writing, then operate wholeheartedly within that purpose.

    Don’t dip your toes, instead dive in headfirst and give it everything you have.

    Above all, have unwavering faith in your dreams; refrain from internalized judgment, skepticism and doubt.

    You have to truly believe in your dreams before anyone else will.

    Do you have anything new or upcoming we can expect to see from you?

    Working on an audio book that will be titled the 25th hour.

    It will be poems surrounding racial injustice, political and social iniquities.
