The Lummus Team: Serving Southern Florida With Passion and Real Estate Experience

Michelle Lummus

Michelle Lummus is a Florida native real estate agent certified as a Military Relocation Professional (MRP) and Senior Real Estate Specialist (SRES). She and her husband are “The Lummus Team” and have served over 40 years in the Navy. They love to help educate military colleges regarding the VA benefits that they have for home buying. Both have extensive knowledge of the military lifestyle; they also like to inform veterans of the other end of the spectrum with their VA benefits when transitioning to assisted living options. In addition, they love helping families that are facing a tough decision regarding where they would move a loved one’s property as they are going through a grieving process. Both love to treat their clients like family and serve them with full-on professionalism and a 5-star quality of service.

Southwest Florida is where they serve. The area is family-friendly and filled with activities and amenities for all ages, and the Greater Fort Myers community embraces a dedicated commitment to quality of life. It has warm weather year-round, sunsets and beaches, and a fun, exciting vibe that will make clients feel great about choosing to live in Southwest Florida. “Being in Florida, of course, there is no state tax!!  It is a great place to retire or have a second home for those individuals who have a first home in the North,” she articulated. Because of the year-round warm weather, the area is full of water or beach activities, live music every day of the week, and many campground options for those looking for other recreation options.

They both love to work with first-time homebuyers, as they are passionate about helping clients navigate the home buying process and experience the joy with them when they get the keys to their first home. They genuinely love working with all types of buyers or sellers and genuinely love to help make it a special and seamless process for each client they serve.

When asked about the current state of the real estate market, she says that the market in Southwest Florida is booming and full of opportunities. It is the best time to make a move. With no Florida state taxes and no restrictions in Florida, it’s a great time to begin a client’s next adventure.  New home construction is on the rise, and the area is only growing with a robust Chamber of Commerce promoting jobs, community events, sports, and plenty of opportunities to network with the Southwest Florida peers.

Being a professional, Michelle imparts a few pieces of advice for future homebuyers in the area. She says that acquiring a home in her service area is a great choice and is a chance that should never be overlooked. Along with it are ten reasons why it is a great place to live in:

  1. Fort Myers is the Fastest Growing City in America
  2. There is No State Income Tax in Florida!
  3. Top-Rated Fort Myers & Captiva Island Beaches
  4.   Fort Myers Real Estate is Affordable
  5. Fort Myers is an Outdoor Year-Round Playground
  6. Fort Myers Has a Strong Economy & Job Market
  7. Fort Myers Has Endless Events to Check Out
  8. Fort Myers Has Great Dining Options
  9. Fort Myers is a Great Small City to Start a Business
  10. Fort Myers is the Best City to Retire In
