The Micro -Philanthropist Bringing Together A Legion Of Legion Potential Legends

Calynn M. Lawrence is a seventeen-time award-winning marketing professional with multiple businesses under her belt and the newly crowned Miss United States Universe Tourism 2021. As the CEO of Calynn Communications & Creative, the advertising firm that serves as the parent company to all of her entrepreneurial endeavors, she has worked with close to 500 brands in her decade of professional experience! This firm owns: several online publications such as her blog Fashion Thunderclap, What’s Good Weekly, Icons In The Now and Millionaires In The Making, the award-winning web series spotlighting local businesses and creatives, “Chicago Talent”, and most impressively, her nonprofit initiative, “The Fresh Faces Project,” that has benefited over 450 up-and-coming brands from artists to attorneys.

At barely 25 years of age, she has been keeping busy building an empire founded on community service and creatives cultivating careers. With the start of her own resume being a Retail Business intern at the downtown Nordstrom mall in Chicago throughout high school, she’s come a long way. Her humble beginnings on the southwest side of Chicago, being raised by her two parents Dawn and Tory alongside her two sisters, Candyss and Camrynn, were breeding grounds for her scrappy tenacity and hustler mentality.

In her career as a marketing management professional, she’s worked with clients and employers of almost every industry from technology manufacturers to performing arts schools to pharmaceutical companies to restaurants. You name it, she’s probably done it. Using all that she’s learned from her work experience and education, including her three certificates from Harvard Business School Online through their HarvardX program, she will soon be launching a strategically affordable online course that will give startups the fundamentals to build their brands and achieve marketing and media success!

Money aside, a special place will always remain in her heart for her work that she does with nonprofits and charitable organizations that benefit those they serve when they need a helping hand. A fierce advocate for providing opportunities to the underprivileged and underrepresented groups in her work, she feels that this type of work, above all else, is what gives her the deepest sense of fulfillment!

In her pageantry alone, she’s donated many boxes of food and goods to several food banks, gave monetary donations to over 30 nonprofit fundraisers all over the world in all seven continents, hosted the second annual Fresh Faces Project awards ceremony that she self-funded where she honored over 40 brands with no participation fees and no ticket sales, and volunteered hundreds of hours of her time for various philanthropic causes. She has big plans to match or exceed her humanitarian efforts in 2021!

With aggressive goals to reach 1000 benefited brands through her nonprofit initiative by its 10-year anniversary in 2024, this micro-philanthropist is bringing together a legion of potential legends. Many of the brands and individuals that have been spotlighted as Fresh Faces in her campaign are stars in the making with astronomical backstories that she’s told across her many platforms, amplifying the voices of underrepresented gems in the small business and creative communities.

Immensely thankful for her family, friends and supporters for their ongoing love and motivation, she feels empowered to live out her life’s mission and make a positive impact on the world! Truthfully, she already has, we all just hope she keeps going.
