The Mortgage Agent In Your Corner: Victor Bokrossy

Trying to navigate the mortgage market on your own could result in an unmitigated disaster. If you aren’t prepared, you could easily lose yourself in the numbers, get turned down by the bank, or even worse- get stuck with a mortgage that doesn’t suit you at all.

On top of that, having the help of just any mortgage agent to guide you through your application isn’t a silver bullet, as not every agent operates with a high level of honesty and transparency. That said, the true key to obtaining a great mortgage is hooking up with a mortgage agent who is actually in your corner, and who cares more about your homeownership goals than their commission.

Thankfully, we know of a mortgage agent who puts a premium on providing a trustworthy service that guides and educates his clients on everything they need to know about mortgages without inserting some sneaky fee. He is the kind of mortgage agent you can count on to help you fulfill your goal of owning or thriving in a dream home, while also removing any stress in the process.

Enter Victor Bokrossy, a Vancouver-based mortgage agent with 8 years of experience in the industry who has arranged over 200 mortgages since the start of his career. He works under the West Isle Mortgages banner, a franchisee of one of the leading mortgage agencies in Canada, Dominion Lending Centres (DLC). There, he specializes in crafting custom strategies to suit whatever his clients’ mortgage needs are, whether they be for a home purchase, renewal, refinance, or anything else under the sun that’s mortgage-related.

Victor himself told us about his services in his own words, saying “I help people fulfill their dreams of getting a first, second, or dream home. I also help people restructure debt to help reduce credit card payments, pay off CRA, or help parents to give downpayments for children. On top of that, I have also helped aged people stay in their homes longer through reverse mortgages.”

Mortgages are like people, there are a ton of different ones out there, and matching each client to a mortgage that suits their budget and goals isn’t easy work, as Victor explains. “Since I began the mortgage landscape has changed more than in the last 100 years, everyone needs an expert to walk them through the process as there are many pitfalls that can be very expensive if not handled correctly. What was ‘common sense’ last year is nonsense today for many lenders. Many clients are surprised that the process has become so much more complex and less easy to understand. It puts tremendous stress if they don’t have the proper advice.”

He continues, saying “My primary goal is to find the best and least expensive solution to meet the client’s goals and needs. To do this I need to know their short, medium, and long-term goals in relation to real estate. Then, I can provide honest accurate up to date information to my clients, and educate them on the current market and how and why the pricing i.e. interest rates are applied to their specific situation. I provide solutions for clients from first-time buyers to those with bruised credit and I advocate for those clients with my lenders.”

Finally, the Vancouver-based agent shared with us what truly separated his brand of mortgage services from his competitors. He said, “I genuinely care about getting the promised results for the clients and I spend a lot of energy educating them on the process. I want to solve the big challenges in their lives, from buying their first home to saving the home they already have, and paying the creditors without trouble.

Braving the dangers of the current mortgage market alone is a sure recipe for disaster. Instead, it definitely pays dividends to connect with a mortgage agent who coaches and supports you because he genuinely wants to see you succeed. If you’re in the market for a mortgage agent just like that, call up Victor Bokrossy and his team at DLC West Isle Mortgages today.
