The Next Big Thing: Joshua Mohamed

The year 2020 has welcomed plenty of enthusiastic entrepreneurs, who have started businesses involving highly innovative ideas. JOSHUA MOHAMED, a clothing brand started by the duo Joshua Fawole and Mohamed Abdourahman, also began in the year 2020 in July. The innovative idea behind the brand is to combine distinct faiths of both the partners, with their fashion sense. The most uniform fact between the partners is that they can use and construct luxurious streetwear garments that not only stand against time but also unite with each generation.

Joshua and Mohamed introducing the brand concept

The brand is a representation of the lives of Mohamed, and his partner Joshua. Both of them are two similar yet very different people who come from different origins and beliefs, but one of their main goals is to create an overall sense of unity in terms of who can wear their products and what they represent, hence the brand name JOSHUA MOHAMED. The garments by this brand will display a time-lapse of their upbringing and overlap of values in terms of our faith.

Beginning of the partnership

Mohamed and Joshua state that the partnership started in July when Mohamed asked Josh if she wanted to create a brand. “It came at a perfect time as we both had been separately planning what to do with our deep interest in fashion”, remarks Mohamed.

Plans for JOSHUA MOHAMED

The duo assures consistent production of high-quality garments partnered with creative freedom. Being a fashion designer, they have a considerable sense of fashion. Moreover, they would focus on a lot of growth and maturity in what they release through their brand in general.

Achievements and key points considered by Joshua and Mohamed

Being able to use and create luxurious garments as vessels for our ideas and seeing our ideas turn into reality is what is considered as an achievement in the business, states Joshua and Mohamed. They also say that they were intentional with everything they did and worked with people that represented their brand ethos and values, which helped them increase and improve the scale of their business.

Biggest advice for upcoming young entrepreneurs

Mohamed and Joshua suggest the upcoming young and passionate entrepreneurs be genuine, passionate, and intentional in everything they tend to do, and everything else will come to fruition. They also ask people to not wait for inspiration to come to them as they believe that taking action will lead to inspiration.
