When it comes to celebrating accomplishments, there’s no such thing as chance or sorcery. When we look at the industry’s up and comers and see their countless achievements and brave stories, it’s obvious that it wasn’t always convenient. Although their perseverance and growing impact have resulted in some inspiring advances, they have also successfully overcome significant personal and professional obstacles. These women are now seen as top inspiring figures and the most powerful wheel in moving the economy forward in a male-dominated industry.

Alyssa Cleland 

Alyssa Cleland is a thriving founder of Alcequine that is built to bridge the gap between “two-leggers” and amputees. Alyssa’s influential presence has been crushing the norms of conventional standards of “beauty.” She was born with Paraxial Tibial Hemimelia, which is the reason for her prosthetic. Adopted and raised in Southern California, she has been inspiring people with her social media influence. Despite the setbacks, she is known for her optimism and determination in outgrowing the detractors in her life. Marking her prominence as a Paralympic Volleyball player to now doing Para-Dressage, she truly is what a diligent modern-day woman looks like. Leveraging the benefits of the online world to spread optimism in society and redefining the perspectives of people, Alyssa strives to build a strong brand while bringing a unique style to the world.

Mel Greenberg 

Mel Greenberg is a best-selling author, producer, speaker, talk show host, and cancer survivor. A proud University of Maryland alumna, she worked as a copywriter and producer. After staying at home to raise her two sons, she discovered new opportunities in old passions. 

Mel’s debut novel, Running with Our Eyes Closed, explores the depth of emotion and physicality in marriage, life, and love after the nest empties. Recognizing the countless other women struggling to redefine their role during their second half of life, Mel went to work as a global advocate on the impact of pro-aging.

Jeaux Bartley 

Jeaux (Jo) is an actress who got started with Acclaim Talent in 2018. Within days of signing, she booked her first role as a lead in a SAG-AFTRA short film, The Quiet Shore. The film, which is scheduled to run alongside Oscar nominated films on Shorts TV around the world, also helped her get Best Actress at an International Film Festival in Bollywood. While the Pandemic has held her acting career back, she excels as a Senior Advisor at the United States Gold Bureau. Outside of working, she’s organizing charity events, and helping businesses get off the ground.  

Sue Barbour 

Sue Barbour is the owner of Lazy Suzy’s, a luxury river chalet found on the Garden Route in the sought out area of South Africa. Having spent over 2 decades in various hospitality fields around the world, her last 10 years have focused on the private and commercial sector of the yachting industry as a Chief Stewardess and Purser. Cannes, Monaco, Beirut, St Barths, Antigua are just a few of the places she has experienced which in turn has influenced the style and set up of Lazy Suzy’s. Demand for high end and foreign influenced accommodation has increased during the COVID era due to overseas travel not being an option. Lazy Suzy provides all this and Sue is passionate about embracing the ever changing landscape of holiday destination travel.

Females have retained a remarkable position in both professional and personal life for decades.
