25-Year-Old Influencer Nicole Shiraz Turns a Trip to Tulum Into a Million-Dollar Bikini Brand

Most of us who travel on vacation, usually come back with a nice tan and maybe some souvenirs.

But for this young influencer, she came back to create her own swimwear line – and hasn’t looked back since.

Nicole Shiraz, the 25-year-old designer and founder, was inspired by her recent birthday trip to Tulum, Mexico when envisioning Nalia Swim.

Designed and produced in Los Angeles, Nicole launched Nalia Swim in late January (a birthday gift she gave herself). Within a month, Nicole dropped the ‘Tulum Collection,’ her second collection for Spring/Summer 2021.

Tulum, a small town in Mexico has become one of the most popular and trendy destinations for celebrities and influencers.

“I started to notice there was this trend to travel to places like Tulum, Cabo, Dominican Republic etc. Then for my birthday we travelled to Tulum and in just seconds of being there, I knew I had to come out with a collection,” Nicole explains.

The collection includes poolside, sea-side, and day-to-night look summer-ready pieces. Made from local, recyclable materials, piece is figure-flattering, open back, and each piece is delicately handmade to ensure quality.

Inspired by one of the most popular and trendy destinations for celebrities and influencers, Australian influencer Nicole Shiraz designed the ‘Tulum Collection’ to make every girl look and feel resort-ready this summer.

The ‘Tulum Collection’ was designed to make every girl look and feel resort-ready this summer.

“My goal was to make every girl feel like they were in Tulum even without them being in Tulum. As crazy as that sounds, I felt there was this FOMO for a lot of women who could not travel due to the pandemic. Since Tulum was becoming a popular vacay spot, I just wanted everyone to feel a part of the experience by wearing the pieces,” Nicole said.

Within a week of launching, the collection has blown up online with sales of the trendy tropical designs going through the roof. The brand has grown in popularity after some of the biggest influencers in Los Angeles posted wearing their pieces.

Nicole ensured her collection was affordable to her target market (generation Y and Z) starting US $79.99. Each luxurious piece is made from local recyclable, vintage materials, fabrics and accessories. The brand’s packaging is also made of 100% recyclable materials, and fabrics sourced locally in Los Angeles as they aim to be environmentally friendly.

Nalia Swim is currently online only (shipping Worldwide) however looking to move in-to stores soon.
