7 Tips For Making Money On TikTok

Published

on

In mid of 2021, TikTok hit a fantastic milestone of a billion monthly active users, capitalizing on its early yet quite worthy fame as people were drawn heavily towards the platform, providing short-form content.

This sudden surge in popularity means TikTok is booming with revenue opportunities, especially considering the fact that around 37% of TikTok users in the US earn a handsome amount of $100,000 or even higher yearly. However, making money on the TikTok platform is quite lucrative and mysterious. The thing is, you either have a business you promote through TikTok or you are the TikTok business.

So let’s go through the steps on how to make money on TikTok.

  1. Sell Products through TikTok Shopping

TikTok gave us TikTok shopping in 2021 to allow businesses to sell products through the platform so you don’t need to send flowers elsewhere to buy some goods. This feature adds a shopping tab to your profile and allows users to see products from your Shopify catalogs. You can tag your products too in organic content you publish to send viewers over to your stores.  So do not hesitate to mention your products to your audience. But also keep in mind that you should not get overboard and start over-promoting.

  1. Drive Sales with TikTok Ads

You can use TikTok ads to draw attention back to your website, e-commerce store, or even your TikTok Shopping tab. You could run in-feed image ads promoting your products or get creative with TopView ads (fullscreen takeovers) to boost your TikTok following—both can help you make money on the platform.  You can also use this platform as a top-of-funnel resource to get users to register for your email list or SMS campaigns. This unique process can help you to keep your TikTok account appearing with fewer sales while still being an influential revenue driver.

If you are running TikTok ads, then you can use TikTok ads spy tool that can help you find the biggest TikTok ads library and Most TikTok ads examples along with TikTok Shop Ad and TikTok Ad Targeting Audience.

  1. Participate in Affiliate Programs

You do not require your products and services to make money on TikTok. Use affiliate marketing to connect to other goods and make a percentage of every sale when a user clicks through and makes a purchase instead. If you don’t get it, here’s how:

Place an affiliate link in your profile—then direct traffic from your organic views to click the link.

Redirect traffic to your Facebook, Twitter, or Pinterest account where you can more generously place affiliate links.

Paste coupon codes and URLs in your video descriptions. Users will have to copy/paste the link into their browser.

  1. Publish Sponsored Posts

Some brands will pay you to feature their products and services. This process is called sponsored content. It does not require you to be a monolithic influencer to get this done. Many smaller brands still pay a good amount of money to work with micro-influencers. Approach brands proactively if you are confident to pull it off or just wait for them to reach you.  You can apply to join the TikTok Creator Marketplace if you have more than 100,000 followers and 100,000 likes in the last 28 days, a sister-concern platform of TikTok for veteran influencers that connects them with high-paying brands.

  1. Become a Brand Ambassador

Brand ambassadors work quite similarly to sponsored content, but they sure help in the long -term. You’ll get compensation and a free product in exchange for a fixed number of videos every week or month. The better your content works, the sweeter the deal gets. You need to find a brand that you love and also help you to expand your domain, receive gear, make money, and have fun. Most businesses have exclusive ambassador application pages on their website, so do not forget to contact your favorite brands to see if they have any enticing programs.

  1. Promote Songs

Earn money by adding songs to your videos. Almost every video on TikTok has an accompanying background song for content creators to lip-sync and dance to and some people understand this value. If you manage to acquire enough following and engagement, musicians will pay you handsomely to have you promote their songs in your videos. If the video

Goes viral, and the song gets viral too as well. And obviously, it means more downloads, concerts, merchandise, etc. You can also promote your own music if you are a musician yourself. TikTok is a platform for singing and dancing, so you might get what you are wishing for through the help of TikTok.

  1. Work with Influencers

You do not require a huge following rate to make money on TikTok- you can partner with a creative influencer who has worked hard to build loyal audiences. Work with them to promote your account or for sponsoring your product purposes. A little push from the right person could make a huge difference for you. As an example, Dogecoin’s value increased 600% in a single week for Elon musk. So work less, work smart.
