The Man in Red: How Rudy Mawer Became a Marketing Legend

Last year was not an easy time for investors and business owners. With global events like the Russian invasion of Ukraine and China’s Zero-Covid policy forcing businesses of all sizes to stop operating and lay off employees, talks of a global recession in 2023 have dominated the news. However, for Rudy Mawer and the businesses working with him, the story was quite different in 2022.

Known around the world as the “Man in Red”, Rudy Mawer has made a name for himself as an investor, speaker, and entrepreneur ever since founding his first multi-million dollar business when he was 26. Today, he is the CEO & Co-Founder of Mawer Capital, Executive Chairman for ROI Machines, public speaker, influencer, consultant, and one of the world’s top marketing experts, with some even considering him a living legend.

Rudy’s marketing abilities are better exemplified by the success of the marketing capital group he founded with Shark Tank’s Kevin Harrington. Over the past year, the company saw a growth rate of 177% and a revenue of nearly $10 million, all while helping over 50,000 small businesses around the world experience similar growth.

This success, as well as that experienced by other Rudy Mawer International LLC subsidiaries, resulted in the parent company being recognized as one of the “2022 Fastest 50 Growing Companies” by the Tampa Bay Business Journal. This recognition, however, is just the latest in the long list of accolades that Rudy has accumulated over the years, which also include being featured in some of the biggest outlets.

“I wish I could say I’m naturally talented or ‘gifted’ as a marketer but the truth is, all my success comes down to one thing: mental toughness,” Writes Rudy “Mental toughness keeps me pushing past failure and lets me reach all-time new highs every single year. If you can adopt my mindset, you too can have anything you want.”

Rudy might not have inherited “old money” or had anything handed on a plate but his parents certainly played a role in his future success. That mental toughness he attributes his success to was taught to him by his parents, both international athletes, and later strengthened by his own drive and determination.

Having learned about marketing by himself from a young age, Rudy would eventually become one of the pioneers in using FacebookTM ads on a massive scale, earning the nickname “The King of ads”. With time, he also would decide to share his fitness, marketing, and sales knowledge with other people, launching his own courses, and offering them online.

The rest is history, as he networked and his business grew, Rudy would reinvest the money he made and use his connections to create more opportunities by consulting. This would be when Rudy Mawer Consulting would be born, eventually leading to the founding of his main company.

Today, Rudy is known as the guy that can help any business grow. The skills and abilities he has strengthened over the years have now allowed him to work with big names like Tai Lopez, Alex Mehr, Kevin Harrington, Floyd Mayweather, The Wolf of Wall St, and many more.

“If you are starting out, believe in yourself. You will look back in 10 years and be at the top of the mountain. You will look down, think ‘Wow, I did it!’ and be proud of yourself,” Rudy told Sebastian Rusk in an episode of the Grit Daily Startup podcast. “Don’t give up. Figure out markets and how to get customers, because cash flow is king!”.
