The Rise in Digital Summits

Luis Jorge Rios is known as Journalist and for organizing TEDx events. Covid-19 presents challenges in holding such forums. There was a major issue with TEDx when Luis was in the hospital recovering from COVID  the government didn’t allow normal events.  However, Tony Delgado (CEO and Founder of Disrupt Magazine) helped to rethink how to conduct the conferences by advising to move them into Zoom, which saved the event.  Since then an explosion of online summits has been rocking the online world. One thing for sure they are here and they aren’t going anywhere.

Stages have been the theme on sharing stories and pulling organizations and companies together. 2020 has been the year to change how people approach speaking careers.  Zoom meetings have become the new center stage for even TED to showcase new ideas. TED has even evolved other platforms because of the recent pandemic such as TED circles. Many companies and influencers were already keen to jump onto digital meetings and using them to make events. At the time of this article, Zoom reached 50 billion no doubt a direct correlation because of more meetings and events online. So it would be of great benefit to understand this new way of speaking to the masses.  Hopping on the new methods and mastering it early will help your speaking career for years to come.
