7 Tips to Better Email Marketing Campaigns

Email marketing is a powerful tool that can help grow your business. It’s also an often overlooked or underutilized channel for many marketers. This article will explore 7 essential email marketing tips to grow your conversions and increase revenue.

1. Find the Email Frequency Sweet Spot for your Audience

The email frequency sweet spot is a great email marketing tip because it will help you determine how often to email your subscribers. For example, if they are more interested in receiving emails daily or every few days, this would be the best way for you to contact them and vice versa. The email frequency sweet spot also varies from one industry to another so make sure you do research on what works best for your audience before deciding how frequently you want to email them with new content.

2. Test your Messages Before you Send Them on Multiple Browsers and Readers

Testing email messages on multiple browsers and email readers is a great email marketing tip because it will help ensure your email looks the same to everyone. This way, you won’t run into any issues of an email not showing up correctly for one particular browser or reader that could result in negative feedback from subscribers who become frustrated with viewing their emails online.

3. Gather Organic Leads

A great email marketing tip is to create an email list by offering something of value in exchange for contact information. This can be as simple as providing your email subscribers with valuable, relevant content like industry-specific articles or discounts on products and services they would enjoy. It’s important that you offer high quality content so that people want to sign up and provide their contact details to receive it from you when available.  Organic leads are those who have signed up voluntarily – not through any kind of pay per click advertising campaign, meaning traffic generated because someone clicked on a paid advertisement or link directing them there (i.e., PPC).

4. Pick the Right Email Platform for your Company

Picking the right email platform for your company is a great email marketing tip because it will help you organize and send emails from one specific location. For example, if you’re not an email expert but would like to have email capabilities on your site without having to find someone else who knows what they are doing, choosing a web-based email service provider that has templates with drag-and-drop functionality can be perfect for beginners.

No matter which email platform you choose, make sure it’s compatible with your email marketing service provider so that all of your email messages are sent from the same location to ensure they look and work the same for everyone who receives them.

5. Do Not Purchase Email Lists

Purchasing email lists is a bad email marketing tip because it doesn’t always work. In order to get the best results from email campaigns, you’ll want to find subscribers who are interested in your content by offering something of value in exchange for contact information.

If this sounds like too much work and there isn’t time or resources available, consider purchasing list rental software that will allow you access to email contacts of those who have signed up through various subscription forms on other sites for bloggers or while browsing online shopping websites. This way, at least some new potential customers are likely already aware of what products/services they may be interested in.

6. Send Referral Codes with your Emails

Sending referral codes with email campaigns is a great email marketing tip because it will encourage email subscribers to share your campaign and content. For example, if you are running an email campaign that features discounts on products for new customers only (i.e., not existing customers) who sign up through the link in the email, ask those subscribing to enter their friend’s email address where they found the offer so that they can receive similar offers too.

7. Remind Customers Who You Are

Reminding email subscribers who you are is a great email marketing tip because it will help them trust your company and feel like they know what to expect from your email campaigns. This can be accomplished by including links in email messages that lead them back to their original sign up page so that they always have access to all of the information about you or your business, as well as any other deals and promotions currently available.

I hope these tips provide some helpful ideas for improving email campaigns in your company!
