7 Ways to Increase Website Engagement With Email Marketing

Email marketing is a powerful tool to help you grow your email list, increase email engagement and turn those email subscribers into customers. Email marketing can be used in conjunction with social media for a more personalized push or on its own when you’re looking to build relationships with new people. Here are 7 email marketing tips that will help improve engagement and get you better results!

1. Send Someone Else’s Content

One email marketing tactic that can be used to help increase email engagement is sending someone else’s content. When you send a piece of email content from another, it will appear in your subscribers’ inbox as if they subscribed for information on that subject matter and not yours. This way, when you email them again with something related to the topic at hand, you are far more likely to get their attention because they were already interested in this particular niche.

2. Start With One Newsletter A Month

Spend the first month emailing your subscribers only once. This is a great tactic because if you email them too much, they will remember and unsubscribe from future newsletters or over time become less likely to open any of your emails in their inbox.

3. Write a Powerful Email Subject Line

A powerful email subject line can be the difference between getting an email opened and it being deleted. If you are going to email someone that has not previously subscribed, make sure your email subject line is eye catching enough so they will read what comes next on their screen.

4. Have a Dedicated Landing Page for your Campaign

A dedicated landing page is a great email marketing tip because it will help you better segments your email list. For example, if you are running an email campaign for those that have already purchased from you in the past and want to buy again, they can go directly to this email with just one click of their mouse or by clicking on a link inside of the email itself.

5. Use A/B Testing To Optimise Your Emails

A/B email testing is a great email marketing tip because it will help you understand what works best for your audience and what doesn’t. You may think that a particular email subject line or offer would be more popular than another but until you test them, there’s no way to know 100%. Optimising emails using A/B email testing helps ensure you are always sending the email with the highest chance of success.

6. Say Thank You

A simple email marketing tip that can go a long way is to say thank you for opening your email, reading the email or even just considering it. It’s important to let your subscribers know they are valued and appreciated so don’t be afraid of being overly grateful in each email if needed.

7. Personalise Your Emails

Customizing email content or adding in a personal touch can help increase email engagement. You can do this by changing up your emails to match the individual preferences and interests of each subscriber. Personalising helps them feel that you care about what they want to hear from you rather than just sending out an email with no thought put into it.
