Business Blurb Launches New Women Empowerment Initiative

The fast-growing business and entrepreneurial media company, Business Blurb just launched a brand new women’s empowerment initiative, titled “Business Blurb Women.” The new initiative is designed to highlight, inspire and empower female entrepreneurs worldwide. Brendan Cox, founder of Business Blurb, told us “Entrepreneurship is becoming more and more prominent amongst women around the world and we wanted to create a special platform to highlight female visionaries in the business space.” It’s evident that the amount of female-owned businesses continues to grow year by year. According to Fundera, the United States has 12.3 million women-owned businesses that generate over $1.8 trillion a year.
Business Blurb Women hopes to feature well-known female entrepreneurs around the globe including Lori Grenier, Barbara Corcoran, Oprah Winfrey, and numerous others. They recently shared a quote from Oprah Winfrey that read: “Create the highest, grandest vision possible for your life, because you become what you believe.”
Devin Caherly, Business Blurb’s other founder emphasized the company’s efforts to inspire women entrepreneurs, “Entrepreneurship amongst females in the United States is skyrocketing and we wanted to take the time to use our platform to inspire other women through stories, quotes and inspirational videos.” Caherly continued, “We have lots of other virtual events and other sub initiatives we are working on for Business Blurb Women that you will see very soon!”
Fundera also highlighted that there are 114% more women entrepreneurs than there were 20 years ago. With thousands of opportunities amongst social media and the internet, starting your own business today is much more attainable than it was years ago.
Business Blurb Women also launched a new podcast called “Women Running Businesses” which is available on YouTube, Spotify, and most major streaming platforms. The podcast is described as “a weekly podcast that dives deeper into the minds of successful female entrepreneurs.” With new episodes weekly their goal is to “highlight, inspire, and empower women in business.”
Francisca Li, a Honors Information Technology and Systems & Finance student at The University of Texas at Dallas is kicking off Season I as the host.
