What is your take on relationships? How do you think one can develop a strong bond with their partner or mate?
Relationships are personal and unique based on the parties that are involved. So it is important that we realize that no relationship is the same. Therefore, it’s important that we take the time necessary to learn and understand ourselves while taking the opportunity to learn and understand our partners. Cultivating a strong friendship is the most effective way to establish and sustain a strong bond with your partner or mate.
What are some of the major key points you concentrate on during your workshops or sessions?
I focus on forgiveness, healing from past relationships, and teaching individuals how to bounce back better than before a toxic relationship or painful breakup. I also teach on identity, purpose, and self-worth.
How has philanthropy impacted your life?
It is one of my greatest desires if I’m being honest. To be in a position to serve those who are not in a position to serve themselves. I’ve been heavily connected to the nonprofit community for over ten years. I’ve served on boards, helped nonprofits get off the ground, and even now I am serving as an ambassador for two organizations and I’m currently working with my husband to establish our own. Philanthropy has taught me the power of community. We need each other. I think it’s a privilege to be able to serve others.
What are your favorite three self-help books?
My three favorite self-help books are Christine Caine – Unstoppable; Secrets of Six-Figure Women, Barbara Stanny; Boundaries by Henry Cloud & John Townsend
What is a one strong piece of advice you would like to share with young aspiring authors?
I would encourage them to just start. There is someone that needs to hear what you have to share. It can be easy to talk ourselves out of the very thing we need to accomplish, but I would just like to be the voice that gives you the push to just do it! You never know the effect your story may have. There is someone who desperately needs to hear you share your story.
What is your motive for this year?
My goal is to scale my capacity to serve more individuals and help others transform their lives from the inside out.
