Chantelle Thompson’s Clean Beauty Brand BBare Launches Fragrance Collection

As with most industries, the fragrance industry saw many fundamental shifts during the pandemic period — one of the primary differences being the shift to online sales. While most consumers would have previously been adamant about smelling a scent before purchasing, retailers are becoming increasingly creative and winning over customers in the digital space. In fact, the closure of physical stores during the pandemic resulted in a 164 percent increase in online sales year-over-year.

Another change that the fragrance industry is undergoing is that consumers are becoming more aware of the ingredients in all beauty products, even perfume and cologne. One brand that is redefining the way consumers view fragrances is BBare, a beauty company founded by Chantelle Thompson of the wildly successful Brazilian Booty Lift

BBare offers a variety of beauty products, from wildly successful eyebrow products to booty products and now, fragrances. However, these are not the typical perfume and cologne products one may be used to. Along with most of the other BBare products, these fragrances are vegan and mostly organic, containing the finest natural ingredients. This is especially important, as studies show that fragrances often contain a dozen or more potentially harmful synthetic chemicals. In contrast, BBare’s fragrances are both comforting and delicate on the skin.

The fragrances come in the form of “pods,” consisting of organic balms that the consumer rubs on the skin. The balms last up to three times longer than a typical perfume spritz, and the scents mesh much better with the natural notes of the skin. Some of the scents available are similar to that of Tom Ford’s Black Orchid, Le Labo’s Santal 33 and Viktor & Rolf’s Flower Bomb — sans the massive price tag or damaging components.

The fragrance pods are perfect for those who are on the go, and they include a small mirror, making them perfect for a travel day or a night out. The perfumes pair nicely with another groundbreaking BBare product, the body balm, which come in the same scents as the perfumes.

BBare teamed up with influencer Tara Maynard for a successful Instagram campaign, which resulted in the pods selling out in just 72 hours. Maynard is a lifestyle influencer known for her unique, colorful fashion aesthetic. Her edit with BBare includes bundles, as well as individual perfume pods and body balms.
