When you see the incredibly popular fashion influencer, Lena, on her Instagram page, you would probably think that she lives and breathes fashion. With over four million followers, she has made quite a name for herself. Showing off incredibly colorful and vibrant outfits is something she enjoys doing and sharing with the world. However, fashion isn’t what she places the most importance on. For her, what’s most important is to be healthy.
Lena became incredibly passionate about healthy living, but this wasn’t always the case. When she first found out about having a chronic illness several years ago, she decided to drastically change her eating and lifestyle habits. She switched from using unhealthy makeups and perfumes, cut out things like sugar, and reduced her stress. While all of these changes helped, she still struggles with the effects of living with a chronic illness.
Since she has gained a massive following, she has begun sharing more about her wellness routine, in the hope that this information can help others improve their health and well-being.
Even though she’s considered by many to be a fashion influencer, she doesn’t really like that term. In fact, she hopes that she doesn’t come off as someone who is very materialistic. Those aren’t the things in life that really matter according to her. What matters the most is to be healthy and happy.
What makes her the happiest are things that money can’t buy, such as good health. She has been eating organic, local, fresh, and healthy food ever since she first found out about having a chronic illness. Lena does her best to eat healthy, which for her means cutting out sugar completely, as well as gluten and dairy. She also follows a low-carb diet.
She’s also become a bit of a foodie in recent years. Her favorite savory foods include anything that’s pickled, including herring, cabbage, and pickles. She stays away from sweets, though, since she found it makes her chronic illness worse. If you’re ever thinking about making her some mac and cheese, then strongly reconsider, since there’s nothing she likes less!
Everyone has that favorite meal in mind that they would love to have if it was going to be the last one they ever had. For Lena, it’s a prime rib roast surrounded by hen of the woods mushrooms.
A major part of her wellness routine involved meditating every day. As important as food is for physical health, meditation is vital for mental and emotional health.
Lena has also thrown out all of her toxic perfumes and makeups. In fact, she stopped using anything toxic two decades ago, which was challenging to do back then given the lack of alternatives. Her Instagram page even has the name of what used to be her favorite perfume: Panthere. These days, she enjoys using essential oils, like the ones by Young Living. For makeup, she loves the RMS Foundation due to it being natural.
Above all else, what makes her the happiest is not the things money can buy, but instead, she cherishes good health above all.
