Corsa Auto Rentals CEO Ethan Duran Shares 4 Tips to Build a Successful Career in the Automobile Industry

The automobile industry has been awarded as the field of transports and vehicles. It is one of the fastest-growing sectors in present times and naturally, more and more people are taking a leap into the automobile industry, either by joining an established company or setting up a business of their own. For those interested in this field, Corsa Auto Rentals’ CEO, Ethan Duran, has compiled a list of tips to help build a successful career in the automobile industry.

Transportation is the heart and soul of the modern world

Being the founder of the biggest exotic car rental in LA, Duran strongly affirms that the modern world is entirely dependent on transportation and that it is the key element that holds together mankind. Thus, he believes, anyone in this industry, regardless of the profile or position, is less likely to ever run out of work, provided he or she upgrades themselves constantly with new skills. In order to attain new opportunities for working on more efficient vehicles and new models, Duran states one must collaborate with automobile manufacturers and architects.

Practical training is vital

As someone who ventured into entrepreneurship with no professional qualification but only practical experience, Duran believes automobile career is all about the work one pulls off on the field. He suggests, in the duration of the start of a job, one must make the most of the mentorship and focus on the fact that practical training never goes unnoticed. To this, he also adds, “Try and not to skip any of the training elements and get as much practice as possible on the spare parts and skills lab. Remember, the more you push yourself to learn, the better it is for your job or auto business. No matter how well qualified or educated you think you are, make use of every opportunity that comes your way to learn new things about vehicles.”

Stand backing your work

Having managed to scale his business from zero to making a 7-figure income, Duran, through his personal experience, recommends aspirants to make sure their clients get what they pay for. This, he believes, is crucial for the success of any business. In his opinion, building trust with the clients, with friends, and with everyone overall pays off in the long-run. “8 out of 10 times my clients become my friends and we hang out the same day they rent a car or in the near future. This faith and mutual understanding encourages them to come to me repeatedly for seeking solutions to all their automotive problems,” shares Duran.

Don’t neglect the importance of networking

One way of getting one’s foot in the door of the automobile field is to network, which, according to Duran, is an art in its own right. To expand one’s horizons in the said field, developing contacts is of utmost importance – whether it is through social media, old fashioned letters, job fairs, or reaching out to people in real life. The young entrepreneur shares it can prove to be very beneficial to seek help from others who might have connections in the industry that can contribute to launching or growing one’s career in the automobile sector.

On a concluding note, Duran adds, “In a field that is largely dependent on skills, there’s no escape from practicing hard enough to endure and sustain the ever-rising setbacks. Therefore, never skip on learning and amplifying your talents.”
