Cosmetic nurse practitioner Anush Movsesian Shares Her 5 Favorite Beauty Brands

Skincare and beauty are incredibly saturated with new products to try, with the beauty industry worth $49.2 billion in 2019 alone. It can be hard for people to wade through all of these brands and find the best ones. That is why we asked cosmetic nurse practitioner Anush Movsesian to share five of her favorite beauty brands in 2020.

Anush Movsesian specializes in aesthetic medicine, and she’s one of the most sought after cosmetic injectors and skin consultants in West Hollywood. She wants to help people feel comfortable in their bodies and figure out their skincare woes. Some of her most common procedures include Botox and fillers. Here are some of her favorite beauty brands that she personally recommends to her clients.

Caudalie

Anush Movsesian recommends their micellar cleansing water, which cleanses skin and removes makeup at the same time. It moisturizes and leaves skin soft, undoing the damage that the face receives throughout the day. She also recommends their makeup-removing cleansing oil, which can remove even the stubbornest waterproof makeup.

Hempz

“Tanning can really damage your skin, so I always recommend that my patients use a sunless tanner,” said Anush Movsesian. One of her favorites is Hempz So Bronze Sunless Airbrush Tanning Spray. It gradually develops within 2-4 hours and the color lasts up to seven days. She added that the bronzer also contains nutrients essential to your skin like antioxidants and skin conditioners.

Herbivore

One of Anush’s favorite hair products is Herbivore’s Natural Sea Mist Texturizing Salt Spray. “It uses the same salinity as the Pacific Ocean, really giving you those beachy waves.” It’s also natural, vegan, and cruelty-free.

Paula’s Choice

If you struggle with acne, large pores, redness, or aging, Anush Movsesian recommends the Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant from the Paula’s Choice brand. It helps women shed dead skin cells to reveal more youthful skin. It has no fragrance or parabens, so it’s gentle enough for sensitive faces, too.

EltaMD

It’s important for women to wear facial sunscreen whenever they go outside. “It helps protect your skin from wrinkles and dark spots,” she said. Anush explained that EltaMD’s SPF 46 Broad Spectrum sunscreen is made for people with acne-prone skin, rosacea, or hyperpigmentation.

If you’re having issues with your skin, these products could get you back on track. If you still need some extra help, Anush Movsesian can offer you tips at her practice in West Hollywood or on her Instagram.
