Danielle BrownBreaks Barriers with Eat Beauty Makeup

The beauty industry generates  around $532 billion annually and doesn’t show any signs of slowing down.. As the market for beauty-related products and services expands, competition is at an all-time high, but Danny B is not worried.

“I offer products for every woman no matter her age or ethnicity,” she said. “I believe there  is room for all of us to win.”

Danielle Brown – Danny B – is a licensed cosmetologist and esthetician providing makeup, hair care, waxing, and skincare products and services through her Eat Beauty Makeup brand founded in 2014. Danny is a talented artist for both hair and makeup who also handmakes body butters, body scrubs, and hair oils for Eat Beauty. , Additionally, she released her signature LipSting lip care line that includes a variety of liquid lipsticks, lip gloss, lip liners, and lip scrubs.

Danny B’s professional experience in the beauty industry includes work on noteworthy productions like “Black Girls Rock” on BET, MTV’s “Revolt TV”, a variety of stage plays, music videos, and photoshootsw. She also worked as the head make-up artist and hairstylist for the 2018 film, Warpath, directed by Josh Brecker.

Before she made her mark on the beauty world, Danny was a professional dancer who  worked with a slew of celebrities like Stevie Wonder and Shelia E. She  even went on tour as a backup dancer for the late Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin.

While Danny B worked to establish her professional footprint, her journey was not an easy one. Being a single parent to two boys had its fair share of challenges, especially with one son on the autism spectrum and one living with ADHD. Despite being strong-willed and determined, Danny struggled to balance being the breadwinner and parent. She lost her corporate job and worked at night so she could be present for her boys during the day and still put food on their table. Eventually, though, she knew something had to change..

“I felt like every day was the same, and I didn’t see a way out, but God knew better,” Danny B explained. “After much prayer, God sent confirmation by way of people requesting beauty services.”

Danny said clients would offer to pay, but she declined until she realized this was her sign from God. She enrolled in cosmetology school, and the doors of opportunity opened.

Eat Beauty is only part of Danny’s dream for her company. She also wants to help other budding entrepreneurs pursue their goals and to promote beauty in all its forms through education, resources, and community engagement.
