While Danny B worked to establish her professional footprint, her journey was not an easy one. Being a single parent to two boys had its fair share of challenges, especially with one son on the autism spectrum and one living with ADHD. Despite being strong-willed and determined, Danny struggled to balance being the breadwinner and parent. She lost her corporate job and worked at night so she could be present for her boys during the day and still put food on their table. Eventually, though, she knew something had to change..
“I felt like every day was the same, and I didn’t see a way out, but God knew better,” Danny B explained. “After much prayer, God sent confirmation by way of people requesting beauty services.”
Danny said clients would offer to pay, but she declined until she realized this was her sign from God. She enrolled in cosmetology school, and the doors of opportunity opened.
Eat Beauty is only part of Danny’s dream for her company. She also wants to help other budding entrepreneurs pursue their goals and to promote beauty in all its forms through education, resources, and community engagement.
