The entrepreneur’s path can be challenging to follow in the Army, but it will pay off if successful. Few people can balance entrepreneurship and military service, but it is possible.
It has not been easy for Lusene Donzo, The founder of Lusene Donzo & Associates. Lusene, a Liberian born, lived in Nzerekore before coming to the United States. He enlisted in the military in 2013; fast forward, nine years later, he is a United States Officer, Author, Professional Speaker, and Certified Credit Consultant. Lusene Donzo is growing himself as a professional speaker in the military, where he has spoken at several schools and universities while being a Credit Consultant, where he has helped over 100 clients save about 300k on collection debts in 2021 during the pandemic.
Lusene did not just acquire everything with just a snap. Actual hard work has never been an overnight success. His story goes back to growing up in a village, living in Philly, to working overnight as a security officer helping his single mother with his brothers and sister. He then joined ROTC at Virginia State University; during his junior year, he had a grandma seizure where he ended up in a coma for 8 hours; during the coma, he broke his left shoulder dislocated his right shoulder.
In this modern era, there are things that we can do now that would be impossible to do in the past. For Donzo, this gives him a chance to show his client something never been done before.
By repairing clients’ credit of all ages, they see 30-60 days results. They do not have to deal with credit repair companies because he coaches and teaches them financial literacy with his courses and eBooks while he is repairing their credit. He has created a new style of repairing clients’ credit and building a community with his knowledge.
Lusene Donzo has established himself to finally have unquestioned credibility and expertise to speak to schools and universities while being a 1LT in the Army. Currently, he is a well-diverse speaker, author and he has worked with several schools in the local Killeen and Lawton area.
Donzo grew up in a poor community and credited his family, friends, and upbringing for his success. He inspires young people to follow their passions by showing how he failed at every pursuit before finally succeeding. In whichever industry, Donzo leaves a message that resonates with the young, “Failure is not an option, but I must fail my way to success.”
It is crucial to have the drive to chase entrepreneurship while serving in the military and be the best version of what you can be. Even with the slightest potential, you can reach the impossible to attain the highest goal that your inner passion wants.
Today, Lusene started his credit mentorship to those who yearn for a good credit score to grow their business and succeed as he has done.
