Dennis Kenney Proves That If There Is A Will, There Is A Way

At this point in his career, Dennis Kenney has styled multiple celebrities for award shows like The Academy Awards, the Grammys, and the Met Gala. He was the head wardrobe stylist for the hit show Trading Places on TLC. Dennis has been featured in GQ as having one of the best street style looks for New York Fashion Week, and has his own boutique and clothing brand. With all of his incredible accolades, it would be hard to believe this would be his career path just a few years prior.

There was a point in time when Dennis had zero motives of becoming a stylist, and instead had all of his focus on becoming a successful actor. While that did not pan out, his desire to follow his dreams and take risks to put himself in a position to work for himself and become financially free remained the same. After attending Carnegie Mellon and spending a brief stint in film, Kenney discovered his intense passion for fashion and set his mind to leveraging his way into the industry. By being consistent in uploading fashion content to social media, he began to gain a large enough following to the point where brands had no choice but to take notice.

From there, his experience as a creative director for 260 Sample Sale and a sitdown interview with Christian Siriano sealed his reputation as a stylist through both his personality and his work. One of his more significant experiences was taking a huge risk by dressing a morning TV host in a dress that was considered risque for the occasion, but was received with huge praise. While it certainly was a risk, Dennis gained validation in his choices as a stylist and confirmed his belief that it is more than alright to go against the grain, as this is what helped separate him from the pack.

While his own decision making and personality has certainly taken him a long way, Dennis has great appreciation for his connections and those that have helped turn his business into a massive success. While it takes a great deal of effort to find the right employees, he knows how important it is to surround himself with the right people. Not only have his employees shot his business to new heights, the connections he has made throughout his journey have been crucial to his success and in landing new opportunities. Because of this, he strongly recommends to never burn a bridge with anyone, as he never knows when he will cross someone again in a major situation or opportunity.

Dennis Kenney has certainly made the most of every opportunity and has never shied away from the challenge of chasing his dreams, and anyone who has worked with him knows how kind hearted and grounded he has been through it all. In terms of what is next for Dennis, the sky truly is the limit.
