Her breadth of knowledge and wealth of experience has recently seen her featured in Yahoo’s ‘Top 10 Branding Coaches’. Here Diya shares with us the 3 keys for personal branding success.

Dive Deep Into Your Niche

A common trap that a lot of entrepreneurs fall into is not truly finding their niche. Being positive and having conviction in what you specialize in, is of utmost importance if you’re wanting to build a powerful personal brand presence in your industry. The more specific you are about what you specialize in, the easier it is for people to understand you and your purpose. A lot of people go wrong by failing to brand themselves appropriately, costing them business and future business. Going deep into your niche and building something that helps your audience, is a crucial step to building your business.

Build a Compelling Brand Story

Storytelling is the oldest, and perhaps most powerful form of communication. There is something innate about the story that resonates deep within us as humans, and the connection we can create with our audience. The strength of the connection is amplified when you’re able to tell a compelling story, which helps people understand who you really are, and why do what you do. A great brand story helps position you and your personal brand high on the trust scale, providing it is authentic and meaningful. People want to see REAL stories that have taken time, effort, and experience to get to where they are today.

Develop A ‘Creator’ Mindset

There are two types of people in the world – creators and consumers. The creatives are the true visionaries of the world, who are able to inspire change and produce something amazing. “I always believe that if you want to build a personal brand, do make sure you develop a mindset and inclination to “create” a business. You are not building a brand just like that. There is a strong reason behind it and to nurture it further, you have to be ready to create programs, ideas, courses, and more” Diya explained. Building a creator mindset is crucial when starting anything, particularly your own brand. It’s a far better feeling to do it yourself than to have someone do it for you.  Picking a niche, having a compelling brand story, and developing a creator mindset are the three major keys to personal branding. Becoming a leader and a visionary starts with a powerful brand, and to learn more about personal branding success in greater detail, head over to www.diyaasrani.com to learn more.
