Dr. Jonathan Kung Does It All: Gastroenterology, Entrepreneurship, Motivational Speaking, Social Media Networking

When most aspiring gastroenterologists go to medical school, they don’t often train as boxers in their local gyms or travel the world as motivational speakers. Dr. Jonathan Kung may be a successful gastroenterologist, but that is only part of how he spends his free time. His favorite activities include boxing, spending time with friends, and networking with people through social media.

“A single profession or hobby should not define anyone,” said Johnathan. “If you want a well-rounded lifestyle, you must pursue everything that you want to achieve. For me, I love to help people in any way that I can. It doesn’t matter if they’re a patient in my office or a random stranger on social media from five thousand miles away. My happiness comes from changing the lives of others.”

World Traveler and Boxer

As Jonathan travels the world to give motivational speeches of encouragement to other people, he continues to focus on his personal health and well-being. No matter if he’s traveling to Los Angeles, San Francisco, or New York City, Jonathan will always find time to practice his boxing training at the nearest gyms that are available.

“I have no aspirations of becoming a professional boxer or anything like that,” said Jonathan. “Boxing is simply a great way to stay in shape and balance in your inner energy. It can also teach you some basic self-defense moves that will increase your overall self-confidence. Other people might have their own method for balancing themselves. This is my method.”

Take the Difficult Path

Jonathan realizes he has been lucky in his life too. He was fortunate to grow up with two parents who always encouraged him to achieve the most that he could. They never let him think negatively about himself, as so many other parents do with their children. Jonathan grew up with the mindset that he could accomplish anything if he put forth the time and effort in doing so.

“I think too many people look for some easy path to success and happiness,” said Jonathan said. “There is no easy path to accomplishing difficult goals and maintaining good health. If it were easy, then everyone would be in good physical shape with big smiles on their faces.”

So many people fall behind because they don’t receive the proper education, and they’re constantly surrounded by negative people who tell them what they cannot achieve rather than what they can achieve. Jonathan was lucky not to have those kinds of people around him. Unfortunately, so many others are not as lucky.

Social Media

For this reason, Jonathan takes time out of his daily life to reach out to other people on social media. He wants to be their voice of positivity and encouragement so that they can change their own lives for the better too. Since so many people look to social media for inspiration and guidance, Jonathan hopes to make a positive impact on as many people’s lives as possible. It doesn’t matter where they live in the world. His goal is to reach out to everyone who will listen to him.
