Entering the YouTube Game Late is Still Possible with Kara the Vampire Slayer

Entering the YouTube Game Late is Still Possible with Kara the Vampire Slayer

You may be familiar with popular YouTube stars on the platform that have been creating content for over ten years now, but did you know that success is still possible for new YouTubers? That’s right, a full career pivot to content creation is absolutely accessible in this day and age. For example, Kara the Vampire Slayer did not start working on YouTube until 2019!

Kara the Vampire Slayer works in conjunction with her husband, Michael McCrudden, who is the creator of the popular series ‘Before They Were Famous’. However, this introduction to the YouTube content creation did not exactly help Kara to become a natural in front of the camera. She still needed to perform the same hard work as any other new YouTuber to establish herself as a content creator.

Starting out, Kara came to YouTube with some applicable experience with writing and being on camera, but she says that she was still awkward in her first videos on the platform. There were things that she needed to learn, styles of speech that she had to start using, and above all, getting comfortable takes time.

Now, Kara works on the ‘Before They Were Famous’ side channel, Famous Entertainment. On this channel, she hosts the show and uploads videos every single day. This channel has almost 500k YouTube subscribers and each video gains massive viewership. Some of the top videos on the channel have over a million views!

She considers her personal branding, Kara the Vampire Slayer, to be her side hustle, while Famous Entertainment is her full-time job. For the future, Kara hopes to continue the growth of the Famous Entertainment channel and try writing different video series on the platform. As well, she hopes to contribute some of her skills to the other ‘Before They Were Famous’ branded channels through her writing, hosting, and hard work.

Another goal of the brand as a whole is to diversify the content to TikTok, Instagram, and other social media platforms. She holds this goal for her own personal branded content, as well as her and her husband’s business channels.
