Framar Founder Maria Gallo shares ‘The Best Thing About Being an entrepreneur’

It’s never easy taking your first steps into owning a business. Where do you start? What will you sell? How will it survive? Look no further than entrepreneur Maria Gallo, founder of Framar. Maria has dedicated much of her life to creating products for colorists around the world, who use them to create gorgeous looking hair for their clients.
Maria started the Framar brand alongside her husband Frank, investing both time and sweat equity into the business since day one. It hasn’t been easy by any means, as the couple have four children, all boys, who were constantly involved in extracurricular activities.
If you were to ask her though, there is nothing that Maria would change about the journey. When asked what the best part about being an entrepreneur was, she shared, “Nothing is stagnant, everything is always changing, there is a constant evolution. When you visit one of our trade shows, it’s loud, it’s full of passion, it’s fun. In this industry, there is never a dull moment. I thoroughly enjoy being part of the process of making people feel beautiful.”
With every evolution in the world of beauty tools and accessories, Maria has made it a priority to put the interest of her customers first. One of the most interesting facts about the company is their ability to revive old trends, while continuing to make way for new ones. This is the reason why many hairstylists and beauty gurus swear by their products.
Speaking on the topic, Maria shared, “We constantly try to create the latest version of our popular products. Being an entrepreneur is all about taking a chance on new things. When my husband and I started out we made it a point to listen to what people want instead of pushing our vision. Eventually, you are creating a product for people and they have to be the ones to like it, so I do put that notion first and this ideology has served the brand well throughout.”
Today, the Framar brand has launched in over 70 countries around the world and the couple is immensely proud of their journey. Maria said, “I’m proud of the foundation I built within Framar, and it has created an opportunity for our children to come in and be a part of something special. In many ways it was really our fifth child and now we are watching the world see its worth. There can’t be a happier experience as the entire team of Framar has really worked hard for it and we are proud of the enterprise that we have built.”
