How Education and Science-Based Training Allows One Personal Trainer, Morgan Rees, to Change Lives for the Better

Becoming physically active by performing different exercises throughout the week can lower a person’s risk of developing several severe health conditions, including heart disease, high blood pressure, and various forms of cancer. The key to improving physical health and overall wellness is fitness. Unfortunately, not everyone understands the science behind fitness and its power in helping people lose weight, build muscle, increase endurance, and make cardiorespiratory improvements.

Morgan Rees, a Los Angeles based certified personal trainer, believes using her education and science-based training can help clients with personal fitness goals. “No two people are the same. With that in mind, curating a custom plan for each client of mine is the key to helping them achieve the goals they’ve set for themselves. So, whether they’d like to lose weight, build muscle, or do both, I provide the training and tools needed to help them make that happen,” said Rees. “As humans, it’s important that we can move through space efficiently. When we can’t do that, it’s more challenging to reach goals. So, when I first meet with my clients, I teach them to stabilize their bodies and learn to use their muscles simultaneously in different ways. The goal is to help them with losing fat, gaining muscle, and feeling their best.”

Most people without health and fitness experience don’t know where to start or what actions to take in order to lose weight, get in shape, and feel their best. While some instructors offer the same plan to each person, Rees doesn’t believe in that. Instead, she says it’s crucial to create a custom-tailored program designed with the client’s goals and needs in mind.

“I listen to what my clients have to say about their health and fitness goals. For example, they might want to lose a certain amount of weight or may be interested in becoming stronger and overall feeling healthier. No matter the goals, we go over them and create an attainable list. Next, I develop a fitness plan that includes the proper approach to help them get closer to their goals without feeling overwhelmed,” said Rees. “If we focus less on fad diets and other misinformation out there and more on science-based training backed by education, we can change our lives for the better. As a personal trainer, I work with my clients to help them achieve their goals to feel better, perceive themselves in a healthier mindset, and become the best version of themselves. Not only does fitness help you feel good, it helps you set up a healthy lifestyle that can last a lifetime.”

Having started a personal training business because of her passion for health and wellness, Rees looks forward to providing clients with an enhanced experience customized specifically for them. Each plan includes different components geared toward helping clients reach goals, such as mobility, strength, endurance, and flexibility.
