Here we sit down with Lucas to learn about his journey scaling a marketing agency and a software company.
Lucas’ advice to growing a company in the marketing industry
The most important thing you can do when scaling is to get started on social media sooner than you think.
Even though people think I have accomplished a good amount with Twiz, I’ve actually seen people blow past me with their results because they started on social media as soon as they started their company.
I’ve always been a bit stubborn. Don’t be like me, get going on social media and be consistent.
What’s the X-factor when it comes to starting a business and being an entrepreneur?
The most important thing you should do is to do something that you are both passionate about and that you also find meaning in.
Excitement is temporary.
But, having a purpose lasts for a long time, potentially even forever..
If you chase a life of meaning, that has purpose, then that will keep you going throughout all obstacles.
Name a time you overcame adversity and how you deal with it
One of the most discouraging and challenging things that I went through when first scaling Twiz was consistently undervaluing my service.
The first deal I ever closed was for $450. Now I close deals worth over $100k.
What drives you?
Giving back to society and trying to equal out the playing field. I am passionate about climate change research and want to be a leading force in helping the planet recover.
