I am Popular on Instagram

Reels are, I think of the past! Move over Instagram and TikTok; YouTube is taking over. YouTube announced it would be paying creators ad revenue for Shorts. With 24,000 followers on Instagram @DenSchleicher, with a lot of blood, sweat, and tears, it’s taken me three years to build that. I’ve been thinking of YouTube for a while now. But never took the plunge, as I didn’t want to start from scratch. YouTube Shorts has me intrigued, though. As of January 1, 2023, YouTube will start paying creators money for my Shorts. That’s fantastic news

When did I start focusing on YouTube?

I’ve had a YouTube account for years; I would upload a video every now and then. But the lightbulb never went off until I posted a video backstage with my friend Marie Osmond. In December 2021, that video sword to 5000 views. When you’re with Marie Osmond, and she says, “follow him on Instagram,” say YES! @DenSchleicher

What was I thinking? What the heck! I should be focusing on YouTube. Without knowing what I was doing, I quickly dove in. Watched some tutorial videos and dove in. I set myself a goal and gave myself a year to achieve 1000 followers in 4000 watch hours required to enter the covenant creator space to qualify for their partner program. As of today, I have 788 followers on YouTube and 3300 watch hrs. I am so close to my YouTube goal!

How to make a YouTube Short?

Creating a YouTube short is easy! All you need is a phone and a YouTube app. YouTube has a lot of creative tools that you can use to make your videos stand out. Here are some tips:

  • Use filters to make your videos look professional
  • Add music to make your videos more engaging
  • Use YouTube’s editing tools to trim and cut your videos
  • Use captions to make your videos accessible to a broader audience

With YouTube Shorts, you can earn money from the ads displayed on your videos. This is a great way to monetize your YouTube channel and profit from your content. To increase your chances of earning ad revenue, you should:

  • Create videos that are creative and engaging
  • Use keywords in your titles and descriptions to attract viewers
  • Use tags to reach a wider audience
  • Promote your videos on social media

YouTube Shorts is an excellent opportunity for content creators to make money from content.

Why I Never Save Instagram Lives?

I decided to download 100 live videos and re-post them on YouTube under a playlist called Dennis Schleicher’s Instagram lives. At the end of each live video, I informed my viewers if you missed the beginning or just tuning in, please subscribe to my YouTube as I’ll be posting the full IG live video there. YouTube’s algorithm caught on, and YouTube started recommending my YouTube channel to people who watch a lot of live videos on YouTube.

After two weeks, my watch time in follower count increased exponentially. At this point, I decided YouTube was where I needed to focus the majority of my attention.

If you create a video on Instagram

Download it, and upload it to YouTube. Change the title a little, along with the context. It’s that easy! I’m not saying it doesn’t require work; it’s re-posting your contact.

Why is YouTube better for search engine optimization?

The answer is simple. YouTube is the second largest search engine, and Google owns it. YouTube videos also appear in Google search results. This means that optimizing your YouTube videos for SEO will also optimize your content for Google searches. YouTube is an excellent platform for content creators to make money. With YouTube Shorts, you can monetize your content and make money from the ads that are displayed on your videos. To increase your chances of earning ad revenue, you should create innovative and engaging videos, use keywords in your titles and descriptions to attract viewers, and use tags to reach a wider audience. YouTube is an excellent opportunity for content creators to make money from content.

Final Thoughts

I haven’t given up on Instagram and still post content there. But YouTube is where I’m focusing the majority of my attention. YouTube Shorts is an excellent opportunity for content creators to make money from content. If you’re a content creator, I encourage you to try YouTube Shorts. You might be surprised at how well your content performs. Thanks for reading!
