Meet The Luxury Floral Boutique that Revolutionized The Floral Industry in America

At some point in everyone’s lives, they can think back to a moment where they have been tasked with finding one of the most timeless gifts for someone for a special occasion. Whether it was your first school dance or the celebration of a loved one’s birthday, this timeless classic will always guarantee a smile on someone’s face. Meet J’Adore Les Fleurs; they have taken the world of social media by storm with their very own touch on the art of gifting flowers. They are one of the most sought-after floral boutiques on the west coast with three brick and mortar stores in Los Angeles, and one in Las Vegas.
However, things weren’t always like this, and they turned a big vision for a small family-owned corner flower shop in a small shopping plaza in Glendale, California. Margaret, the owner of Sunshine Flowers – a local mom and pop flower shop, her two sons Chris and Davit, and her two daughters in law Eliza (Attorney at Law) and Alisa (Fashion Designer), wanted to do more with their business than to sell flowers; they wanted to revolutionize the flower-giving culture, focusing on presentation through packaging and adding a touch of elegance and luxury to every bouquet and arrangement that came out of their shop. This was when the family began researching and creating unique and original arrangements whenever given a chance. As a result, a dream was born.
Turning a Vision into Reality
It all started around 2013 during a family vacation in Paris when their dreamy visions were put into perspective. Experiencing the sophistication and elegance behind France’s chic culture and language, the family instantly found the inspiration behind what soon became an innovative birth to luxury flower culture.
Upon the family’s return from Paris, the family brainstormed on ideas for a new branding/business venture. Coming up with a packaging concept on floral arrangements inspired by luxurious french packaging-calling the business “J’adore Les Fleurs,” meaning “I love flowers” in French. The brand was inspired by the vivid concept of Victorian Era hat boxes and the delicacy of French fashion and design. Just two years later, the family was ready to transform their vision into a brand- a way of thinking- a way of giving and inspiring through flowers.
Gaining Traction
Their first location was in Studio City on Ventura Blvd, very close to Universal Studios. Studio City is the heart of Ventura Blvd and is filled with celebrities and influencers, filming movies, show business, and so much more. The first location was a rather big success for the demographics of their brand and truly helped this new concept gain necessary traction.
Right around that time, we saw the dramatic worldwide adoption of Instagram as a major platform, so millions of active users coupled with some of the most aesthetically pleasing bouquets and their brand was a hit on social media. They started to market via social media, pioneering the way for floral brands as one of the first of many who used social media heavily to attract customers. The Beauty industry was booming on social media, and their flowers started to appear in between the beauty and fashion posts everywhere. They were catching the attention of hundreds of thousands, including one very influential woman, Anastasia Soare of Anastasia Beverly Hills.
The team at J’Adore Les Fleurs woke up one morning and noticed that they had gained 3000 followers overnight! (from 600 followers). They couldn’t believe it, and they couldn’t understand how. They shortly realized that the Queen of EyeBrows – Anastasia- posted a JLF Peony Box picture on her feed and tagged them. Then, before Valentine’s Day, she reached out and expressed her interest in creating flowers in their Studio City boutique for a blog post on her website. Her support and love towards the small women-owned floral business attracted all the major beauty brands and influencers.

The team made sure they could express their admiration and respect through their work and through the flowers. As they began their working relationship, they went above and beyond to perfect every detail. Their experience of working with an A-list client such as Oprah Winfrey not only helped their company expand, they used it as the standard for shaping their working relationship for every customer, no matter how big or small.
