Juliette Releases Revolutionary Hybrid A.I. Laundry Service App

With in-unit washers and dryers considered a luxury in the Big Apple, many New Yorkers depend on laundry services to clean their wearables. Juliette, the innovative dry cleaning and laundry service company, has provided laundry “experiences” through its app since 2014. Striving to streamline the customer experience, the latest update allows Juliette to identify if a client is a new customer needing help getting started or an existing customer needing cleaning services through a hybrid of artificial intelligence and text message-based SMS communication.

Juliette’s CEO and Founder, Rechelle Balanzat’s approach to Juliette features a blend of technology, lifestyle, and fashion, aiming to innovate and revolutionize her industry while offering a unique experience. Her previous escapades as a customer of dry cleaning services were flat and stale, giving her the idea to start Juliette.

“The whole thing felt so cold and transactional,” Balanzat said. “It was so different from memories I had of doing laundry with my mom on Sundays. Sunday nights were my favorite nights because I was tucked into a warm bed of fresh linens after a long bath.”

Knowing how critical time and convenience are to people in the city, Balanzat didn’t want to follow the status quo of making Juliette just another app to download.

“No one wants to download another app or have to remember another password,” Balanzat added.

The new Juliette app no longer requires a username or password to log in. This exciting new feature makes it easier for clients to request service on their terms, simply with a text or tap of a button. Streamlining this process means the client experience will be the same regardless if they are on the app or texting with Juliette.

Juliette is committed to Four C’s (cashless, consistent, convenience, contactless), with each value contributing heavily to the app and its newest update. This forward-thinking approach has allowed Juliette to gain popularity in Manhattan (from the Financial District to 110th Street) and has even added some high-profile celebrity clients to her roster, including Mark Ruffalo, Ariana Grande, Gigi Hadid, Priyanka Chopra, and others.

Since 2017, Juliette has been mindful of the environment and implemented different ways to become a sustainable company and minimize its carbon footprint. Some initiatives include:

  • Using all organic cleaning materials
  • Eliminating plastic and wire hangers
  • Introducing Juliette’s “2-N-1” reusable laundry bag

As a solo female tech entrepreneur, a minority, and an immigrant, Balanzat is used to thinking outside the box to achieve her goals. Implementing automation into her business has helped Juliette serve clients more efficiently and conveniently.

The best creations are those that identify a problem and create a practical and imaginative solution. Balanzat has built the laundry service business she always wanted for herself and fellow New Yorkers, and Juliette will continue to push the envelope to keep raising the bar in the industry.
