Living Authentically: Katie Keane Crafts Gluten-Free and Vegan Recipes to Inspire Others

Katie Keane

Whether it’s an eating disorder or changes in your dietary requirements, we’re often forced to take a closer look at the food we’re consuming, along with what we’re eating and why.

In an odd twist of fate, Katie Keane found herself pivoting around her gluten and milk allergies while in culinary school in France. With the help of the Michelin star Chef she was training with, she was able to pick up tips and tricks to help her navigate this challenge.

Once Katie realized the physical and emotional ailments she was dealing with were related to her newly diagnosed Celiac’s disease, she was able to make lifestyle changes to begin feeling better.  It has become a passion for Katie Keane to share her wellness journey with others via her blog and by sharing recipes and important information with others who may also be facing the challenge of diet changes.

When she first learned of her food restrictions, there wasn’t a lot of information available that also offered delicious and nutritious recipes. She decided to not only share her journey but also her culinary training with her readers. After fielding countless requests, Katie finally wrote a vegan and gluten-free Ebook. Not long after, she also created another outlining “How to Make a Perfect Smoothie.”

One of the challenges of having dietary restrictions is finding foods that you enjoy and that also appeal to your friends and family. Some of Katie’s top crowd-pleasing recipes (which you can find on her site) are Overnight Oatmeal, Peanut Butter and Jelly Bars, or goodies like Banana Bread.

Adjusting to diet restrictions has changed the way she looks at food, and this allows her to reach others who are struggling with diet changes as well. By bringing her experience and knowledge to social media, Katie now uses that information to inspire, uplift, and motivate others as they maneuver through diet-related challenges they face.

In order to stick with a new diet, it’s important to find recipes that look good AND taste good. As a lover of Insta-worthy food, Katie makes sure her recipes check all of these boxes! We tend to crave childhood favorites and her goal is to deliver the food you’ll be excited to add to your routine.

With her creative skillset and beautiful Instagram, we’re certain you’ll be seeing more of Katie. Be sure to check out her website, Girl Next Door, and try one of her incredible recipes today, like her Almond Butter “Crack” Bars or her Snickerdoodle Granola. Is your mouth watering yet? Sounds good, doesn’t it? And remember, these recipes are so enjoyable even for those who need vegan & gluten-free goodness. You can find more of Katie Keane’s recipes here.
