Music is a universal language. It has the power to bring people together in times of darkness. In the last two years, all of us have looked for an outlet…an escape from the chaos. Music served as that outlet for many. There are two friends who decided to share their own musical talents to bring people together and spark joy in the world. If you haven’t seen them by now, you’ve surely been living under a rock.

Who Are Kellan and Kevin?

Kellan Reck and Kevin Hupp are two friends from Boston who started their social media journey at a time when everyone was living in isolation and life seemed bleak and hopeless. With one TikTok video, the duo quickly became popular among the masses, and people began looking forward to more short videos by them. Here are a few reasons to love this duo: 

For starters, both have soulful voices that anybody would enjoy listening to. Secondly, the two roommates have an amazing friendly chemistry between them that instantly reminds you of your friends and the times you had together. A trip down a happy memory lane acts as an instant ‘pick-me-up’ for anyone.

Their videos are short and engaging, and it’s hard to look away or ignore them because they are just so funny. When we say funny, we don’t mean slapstick comedy, but the light-hearted banter we all crave in our routine lives.

Kellan Reck and Kevin Hupp came into people’s lives when they needed happiness the most. Their short musical videos quickly became something people would wait for and enjoy, along with their smiling faces that had become so familiar to them. They posted for the first time on their Instagram on Mar 11, 2020, and in a matter of two years, their page has amassed over 206k followers!

What inspires them?

For the duo, the inspiration for their TikTok channel was music. The pandemic wasn’t any different for them, and music was a way for them to sneak into sweet oblivion. It was their love for music that pushed them into pursuing their dreams, and the two started working towards it. Their journey began with a single idea, and with perseverance, hard work, and a ton of singing talent, they transformed that idea into something much bigger. 

They have even released two hit singles titled “Falling into something” and “One More Summer” that you can listen to on Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes, and Deezer. 

If you visit their social media accounts on TikTok or Instagram, you will see that Kellan and Kevin actively post content for their followers. From short videos where the two can be seen singing melodiously to viral TikTok challenges and cute snippets from their everyday lives, they have a very exciting and happening social media profile that doesn’t disappoint.

What happens when you suddenly look at someone smiling? You start smiling, too, because that’s a natural human response. This is why the singing duo makes everyone around them happy; they are always smiling with their cute boyish charm, and it’s hard not to smile and laugh with them.

Another thing that we love about Kellan Reck and Kevin Hupp is how different their personalities are and how well they get together. Kellan looks like a happy-go-lucky guy who loves to play pranks and laugh, living life to the fullest. In contrast, Kevin comes off as a more serious and intense guy with a mysterious aura around him. That doesn’t mean you won’t see him smiling and having fun; trust me, you will see a lot of happiness radiating from him too!

Kellan also includes his mother in some videos, which is very heart-warming and wholesome to see. The might of social media never ceases to amaze me; how content creators have become a part of our lives, making long distances seem so small. Viewers love watching the mother-son duo and the beautiful relationship between the two.

How are they using their platform?

Social media content creators and influencers have a major responsibility towards their audience and society at large. It is important for them to address social issues that need to be discussed to create awareness about them. The two musicians take their social responsibility very seriously, which is why they often create content that discusses social issues that need to be dealt with, like their Covid-19 vaccine video.

Because of their massive social media following, it’s no wonder they get so many endorsement offers. Collaborating with content creators allows brands to leverage creativity and gives them the ability to create unique images and videos for themselves. In contrast, collaboration with an influencer means that a brand can leverage its followers to create awareness for its brand. Kellan and Kevin are both, so they are an easy choice for brands. 

These musicians from Boston are doing a great job of entertaining people and bringing them happiness through their music and personalities. It surely would be exciting to see what both of them come up with next!
