Women Who Disrupt
Kerri King Is Re-Energizing & Hiring Other Stay-At-Home Mothers

Kerri King is an incredible mother and female entrepreneur who designs and runs her booming Bible cover business, Kingfolk Co.
After the death of her father, Kerri put her heart into Jesus and started designing different and unique types of bible covers, and within no time her designs & art took off to where now she is able to hire other mothers and give back to other female entrepreneurs across America.
But before her covers and art could take off, a disruption had to occur. Kerri exclusively tells us, “We are the first (and to my knowledge, ONLY) business offering custom-printed Bibles. The rest of our industry is hand-painting Bibles which seems like a daunting task that takes hours. We took what could take hours of painting and instead only takes us a few minutes of printing. And we are able to produce a repeatable product whereas hand-painted Bibles will produce a different result every single time.”
And while the pandemic hurt and shutdown many retailers and businesses, Kerri’s ecommerce company took off to new heights. “2020 brought in many customers that I don’t know if we would have been able to reach had we not been in the middle of a worldwide pandemic. We saw people who were willing to dig into their faith because they either had more time on their hands to read the Bible or they were dealing with fear concerning the state of the world. Either way, we saw a major uptick in folks purchasing Bibles and digging into their faith.”
But even with all this success, Kerri has stayed humbled and has used her faith to help guide her forward towards helping others who were in her position previously – at home with the kids and wondering what to do beyond just family-related stuff. So, with that mindset, Kerri has helped to employ other mothers and given them the opportunity to dive into their own creative spirits. “Being a mom is a full-time job on its own. It’s TOUGH. There are a lot of mamas out there that need to provide for their families but maybe they’re in a season of also needing to stay at home. I try to bridge the gap so that they don’t have to choose either to provide for their family or stay at home with them. I have several tasks that can easily be done from their homes. I have one mama that is a homeschool mom like myself. She needs to be home with her kids to teach them during the day but she is able to handle my customer service emails when she’s not teaching them. It fits into her schedule but she is also providing an income for her family while providing a very necessary task for Kingfolk Co.”
And as the year goes on and we head into 2023, Kerri has some new ideas that align with today’s top trends. “I love florals and I know most of us ladies do. I even have several floral designs in my collection of Bibles however I try to not make florals my main designs. We aim to be just a bit different than the rest so that we don’t get lost in the sea of flowers. [And in regards to this year], 2022 has been a rollercoaster since we decided to build a warehouse/shop with living quarters. The warehouse part was finished a few months ago and we love having all the extra space to bring in more inventory of Bibles and Bible accessories. The living quarters are being finished now and we are due to move right in the middle of the holiday season. Never a dull moment around here! As for 2023, we have some big plans. I am in the design stage of some amazing scripture memory journals that we hope to launch in the Spring of 2023. I also see more Bible accessories being added to our line and we are bringing in other designers to collaborate with on Bibles. Even though I’ve been at this for a while now, I feel like we are just getting started!”
Let the female, mom entrepreneur takeover continue! Blessings forward!
