Kerri McCartney Is Making an Impact With Her Up-and-Coming Blog, One Marketing Melody at a Time!

When the lockdown hit, Kerri McCartney found herself at a bit of a crossroads in terms of which direction to take. She decided to use the time and take her marketing and PR knowledge from working and living in both Milan and Northern Ireland and use this to create and develop her online blog ‘Marketing Melodies.’ Since then, Kerri’s blog has taken off in the right direction, covering aspects of career advice, lifestyle, fashion, and more. Along with the unique aspect of featuring her time living la dolce vita in Milan, a city that she still visits often to see family and friends, a place that she refers to as her second home and a culture and a language that is very much prevalent throughout ‘Marketing Melodies.’

Kerri’s journey started when she studied at Nottingham Trent University, once graduated she moved over to Milan to work at a PR agency called ‘Optimized Group’. This gave her a proper insight into the many different directions this industry can take you and this is something she has always loved about it. Since then, Kerri has worked for many clients from many different industries, all looking for different benefits and recognition that marketing and advertising can bring. From organizing events, endless press release creations and distribution, media management and getting clients on radio and TV segments, Kerri has accumulated a massive amount of skills and experience that she brings to her blog.

‘Marketing Melodies’ isn’t only a platform that focuses on marketing advice and career tips. Kerri has also brought in the element of lifestyle and the importance of looking after mental health, especially when using social media. She understands that as fantastic as social media can be, there are also downfalls and can affect others mental health. Therefore, Kerri also filters through feel good quotes and reminders to not compare yourself to others on social media and so on, to use her platform to make others feel good as well as giving career advice. There are also the popular ‘Industry Insights’ and ‘Business Babes’ features, which gives the audience a look into what different industries are like to work in, and entrepreneurs a chance to advertise their business. Kerri is now currently working in fashion marketing, an industry she has always loved. Going forward, Kerri plans to continue growing her online blog with the various elements she speaks about, with the aim to help others and make them feel positive and motivated.
