Making Your Dreams a Reality- The Gabi Garrett Way!

“If you chase anything in life, chase the things that get you excited about living. Chase the things that give you hope, happiness, and a glimpse of a better life.” – Shannon L. Alder
Charismatic entrepreneur, Gabi Garrett is the founder of one of the most sought after copywriting firms in the world. What started as just a dream in a corporate cubicle has turned out to be a turning point for Gabi and all the other brands she has helped so far.
Some weeks ago, we got the chance to interview Gabi and ask her a few questions concerning her brand and how she’s overcome the obstacles she has faced so far. Let’s have a look at what she had to say;
What inspired you to create your brand?
My brand, Gabi Garrett, is a portal of possibility. Everything I and my team create under my name must live the example of the leap I took from “Cube Land” (the corporate world) into my dream. And it must be real as heck, as not many entrepreneurs actually share how hard the work can be.
The Gabi Garrett brand aims to solve diverse problems faced by brands such as exposure and marketing. That’s what we are!
What obstacles have you faced so far and how did you overcome these obstacles?
I and my team have experienced a lot of obstacles during this pandemic period. We’ve had to adapt to the workplace changes, rework our project management strategies and still offer our clients the best service the industry has to offer. And lastly, we were on the verge of closing down the business for good.
We pivoted at the beginning of the pandemic and multiplied our income by 5! We totally could have shut down. I remember we had just $200 left, and I paid a $200 invoice; by choosing my team we were wildly rewarded. The following Monday we created a $222 special and sold 10 of them, all resulting in retainer clients!
What is your best advice for someone who wants to grow in any area of their life?
Growth is something that comes from within. It’s more of a personal approach and I don’t think anyone can help you achieve it unless you take the first step.
But, my best advice for anyone who wants to achieve growth in life would be to take out time to imagine the version of themselves they are trying to become, map that personality out on a poster board; then every day say to themselves, “I’m so excited about my dreams – I’m about to make it happen.” Then, tell everyone you meet.
This will not only motivate you but will always remind you that you have somewhere to go and a dream to get accomplished.
