Meet the Uber Talented Neuroscientist, Jennifer Sweeton

Each individual is born with a set of inherent skills and passion for something. Instead of ignoring them and focusing on things you are not good at, it is better to focus on what you are blessed with and enjoy doing. Jennifer Sweeton is an uber-talented neuroscientist and psychotherapist who is pursuing her passions and breathing success. She owns a private practice in Kansas City and is a nationally known speaker on trauma treatment and feminist therapy.
Her area of specialization is Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, as she helps her clients get out of the grip of this evil menace of disease and encourages them to develop a mindset to cope with it. Apart from treating clients, she also helps high-achieving professionals recover from psychological trauma and optimize their brain functions with the focus on improving their work performance.
One of the primary skill sets she teaches clients and all mental health practitioners is Neural Desensitization and Integration Training (NDIT). NDIT is an evidence-informed, module-based, brain training program that teaches clients how to identify, desensitize, restructure, and process distressing memories, beliefs, emotions, and even physical sensations. The main goal of NDIT is to help clients change their relationships with themselves, including their thoughts, emotions, and physical reactions. As the developer of this new PTSD approach, she is rightfully proud of it. NDIT is offered to both her coaching and psychotherapy clients. She is also providing training on this new approach to other mental health professionals and coaches.
Because of her immense love of education and passion for bringing practical skills to other clinicians and the public, she has founded a continuing education company, OnlineCECredits. It serves thousands of mental health professionals aiming to earn continuing education credits and build their clinical skill set.
Apart from client work, coaching, and providing consultation on psychotherapy, she is also an author of books on neuroscience and trauma treatment. Her ultimate goal is to bring applied neuroscience to the public and help people learn how to heal from traumas and cure their brains after stressful events. Her passion is to assist people with PTSD and help them live happier lives.
Aspiring to be a lawyer soon, as she is currently studying law and pursuing JD from the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Jennifer wishes to not just treat people who have suffered trauma and psychological injuries but also advocate for them. Her thriving career and businesses bear witness to her exceptional talent, earning her the rightful respect in the psychology community of America.
