MEHI-A Musical Prodigy

Music is something that transcends across borders, language and cultural barriers. Such artists who truly believe in the power of music are rare and few, but their art is so strong that it always gets recognised very soon. One such artist is MEHI, born in the United Kingdom and groomed into a seasoned musician by his father. As a child when MEHI’s father saw a spark of music in him and started grooming him with Classical Indian Music and so began his journey. By the age of seven MEHI started learning the traditional Indian percussion Instrument, The Tabla, by Ustad Pandit Rama Kanth ji, and continued to do so for several years.

Growing up he realised his true passion of Punjabi Vocal singing. Therefore, to hone his skills and get better day by day, he started practising everyday guided by his father and constantly challenging himself in true discovery of his talents. MEHI got his first big brake at a young age of 16 when he got to record his first song ‘Holi Bol’ under the aegis of few of the most senior vocalist in the Punjabi Music Industry. 

MEHI further grew in his career by collaborating with ‘Point of Xstaci’ which went on to become a global hit and was appreciated by listeners worldwide. MEHI has a varied vocal range and has a wide range of songs under his artistry umbrella and are available on major streaming platforms worldwide.

Another feather in MEHI’s cap was adorned by BBC Asian Network when his hit song ‘Pyar Diyan Gallan’ took the No. 1 spot on world charts and on iTunes too. MEHI moving forward in his career is now setting up shop alongside G Soni with GHRU MUSIC this has allowed him to go deep into the realm of music and magnify his talents.

MEHI is a true born vocalist and a performer. Alongwith this he is also a produces, musician, composer and lyricist. He yet again has come up with a gift for his listeners, the new Gift 8 Album with 8 full length songs, ‘Intro’,‘Jaan Kad da’, ‘Kharcha’,’Gift’, ‘Sadke java’, ‘Mashook’,’Ajja Ajja’ and ‘Mazaak’. He has incorporated something for each fan to enjoy and tap their  feets to. A true fusion between east and west, this is MEHI’s independent project, to be released across all major worldwide platforms on 28th jan,2021. MEHI recognises is natural born talent and feels grateful towards all the artists that have supported him in his journey and helped him transcend the boundaries of the world through his music. He is now, moving forward, learning and growing with his music and innovative ideas. His aim is to introduce a whole new meaning to the Punjabi Music Industry and his new songs are a step towards that aim incorporating different genres seamlessly from folk style to electronica, hip hop, RnB and pop soundscapes. He hopes that his listeners will continue showing great support and show even greater love towards his new songs towards his new future endeavours.
