Executive Voice

Michael Oshinaya is a member of NYC Luxury who is contributing towards for Black Lives Matter movement:

There has been cutthroat competition in the jewellery market, especially the customized pieces which are generally used by celebs to complement their red-carpet look. In order to stay relevant, the jewellery brands have to constantly keep reinventing themselves so that they won’t run out of business. NYC Luxury is one of the most favourite places for netizens where you can spot luxury items according to your taste. There is always something for everyone here. The respect provided to customers here is huge and they are known for their professional customer service. They are dedicated to educating their customer while serving them with rare pieces of jewels. They provide the best customer service alongside the best craftsmanship at all costs whilst providing the highest level of luxury without being obnoxious.

Black people have been victims for so many horrible instances. The recent event which led to the deaths of George Floyd, Tony McDade and Breonna Taylor have been so difficult to process. Black Lives Matter has been one of the largest movements in the history of the U.S. Black Lives Matter is not just a phrase or notably a hashtag that is being used to highlight racism, discrimination and inequality experienced by black people. It has turned into so much more all around the world. Its use grew in the US after high-profile killings by police, but it has spread like a wildfire in the UK where silent racism exists and even worldwide.

“All these big-time jewellers in the industry who have profited in folds usually tend to take inspiration as well as business from our culture and community, but I haven’t noticed anyone giving back to the black community,” says Michael O, celebrity jeweller, who also goes by “Big Mike.” The designer has created a special Black Lives Matter (BLM) pendant to stand in solidarity with the harassment done to the black culture and community during the nation’s current civil unrest.

The very first personalities that Michael got a chance to work with are RichTheKid & Famous Dex when they purchased Full Diamond Patek & a Full Diamond AP from him in Spring 2017. There are not many black faces who are famous in the jewellery business and he is trying his best to emerge as a prominent black personality in the industry to represent his black culture.
